With his burn notice back in full effect, Michael finds himself reluctantly working with freelance psychopath Mason Gilroy, hoping to discover what his job is in time to put a stop to it. At the same time, Michael's former neighbor, the drug dealer Sugar, is back asking for Michael's help to save his mentally challenged cousin, Dougie, who's being taken advantage of by a robbery crew.
- Blatant Lies: Claude didn't survive his broken ankle. There were complications.
- The Bus Came Back: Sugar was dealt with in the pilot; two and a half seasons later he makes his return.
- Concealment Equals Cover: Sam hides behind some wooden pallets and is perfectly safe from machine pistol fire.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Sugar loves his cousin.
- Placebo Effect: Michael and Sam drug a fence with colored water.
- Politically Incorrect Villain: Lynch repeatedly calls Dougie "the retard", and he and his crew make fun of him dwarf-jester style at one of their parties.
- Sickening "Crunch!": After falling from the lubed contact point, Claude hits the ground and breaks his ankle.
