When the Forever Knights fail to kill a dragon that escapes, they are forced to team up with Ben, Gwen and Kevin to kill it.
  • Ambiguous Situation: During the Dragon's rant to Ben about how a millennium is a rather long time to be locked up against one's will, he soberly brings up that his baby's probably flying by now. Given the long-lived nature of the Dragon, it's unknown if it means his baby is grown up by now, or if he's just bemoaning that he's missed a significant milestone in his offspring's life.
  • Angrish: After Kevin gave a Translator Collar to the Dragon; allowing him to speak to them; him telling them of his traumatic experience as an unjust prisoner of The Forever Knights that kept him from returning home to be with his family again prompted him to roar a Skyward Scream. Gwen thought that this meant the collar broke, only for Kevin to state otherwise.
    Sometimes a roar's a roar.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Our heroes successfully help the Dragon leave Earth in peace and return to his home planet after a thousand years. But the Forever Knights decide that (although their purpose has sprouted wings and flown off), they will instead reshape their goal to be to slay all alien life forms unlucky enough to cross their path. The knights cheer triumphantly at their new goal, while a single squire hangs his head in shame.
  • Monster Is a Mommy: Or rather, it's a daddy. When ranting about his mistreatment, the Dragon mentions a thousand years, even in dragon years, is a long time to be away from your home, your friends, and your family.
Dragon: The baby's probably flying by now...
  • No Name Given: While clearly sapient and not some dumb beast as the Forever Knights and initially Team Ben assume, the Dragon's actual name, assuming he has one, is never revealed even by himself.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: The Dragon fully intends to go on one against the Forever Knights once he gets back to his ship and grabs his weapons. None of the heroes necessarily disagree he's wrong in wanting payback for what they did to him, but Ben still draws the line at perpetuating the cycle of violence when the Dragon can just do what he really wants: to go home to his family.
  • Super-Toughness: The Dragon is incredibly durable, having shrugged off the various execution attempts the Forever Knights have tried on him for the past thousand years, including presumably alien technology. He finally breaks loose just before they test their newest alien weapon on him, and a good thing too since the one time they manage to nail him with it, he and Ben caught in the crossfire nearly collapse before Gwen and Kevin intervene. It must have had some serious firepower too, as the Dragon No Sells being shot by gunfire and taking multiple missiles from fighter jets.
  • Translator Collar: Apparently a pretty standard piece of alien tech. Ben noticed during his first fight with the Dragon he had what looked like a busted one near his throat, and since Ben had suspicions about the Dragon's actual intelligence he manages to replace it with a working one Kevin has in an attempt to communicate with him.
  • Wham Line: Ben and Gwen are a little disturbed when the Dragon tells them he plans to kill the Forever Knights rather than leave peacefully. If anything, it alerts Ben that this isn't going to be simple as letting the Dragon go along his merry way.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: When the Dragon plans to eradicate the Forever Knights for wrongful imprisonment from his home and family, Ben reasons that he doesn't have to fight them. As he so puts it:
    Ben: You're not a monster, you're a mapmaker.
