Gelatin, you can't keep your tongue to yourself can you?
The twentieth episode of Battle for BFDI and the 51st episode of the overall series. Ruby is eliminated, and the featured challenge is to cool down X after the events of the previous episode. The Have Nots lose.Tropes include:
- Batman Can Breathe in Space: Unlike the previous Space Episode from season 1, this is subverted when Gelatin breaks open the window in the Have Cots' spaceship, causing the team to begin suffocating. Played Straight after the Cake at Stake, due to Four giving the team air to breathe as a prize.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Leafy gets so fed up with Lollipop's attitude that she zaps her with a laser.
- Beyond the Impossible: Blocky makes fun of the sun, somehow turning it into an ice cube.Blocky: Hey, Sun! You're... uh... pretty lame.
- Disproportionate Retribution: The challenge eventually reaches the point where the contestants gain and lose points for no particular reason.
- Immediate Sequel: Downplayed. While the last episode, which was a few weeks ago in-and-out-of-universe, ended off with X still on fire, Four left him ablaze so that cooling him down could act as the episode's challenge.
- Insane Troll Logic: The contestants' various attempts to cool down the sun:
- The Have Nots running on the spot, rotating the earth so that it's nighttime.
- The Have Cots jumping on the spot so it repositions the sun and for earth to have daytime again.
- Firey tricking the Have Cots into sinking himself into the sun. This resulted in not only X but also Flower suffering from the sudden 800-degree spike in temperature.
- Blocky lamely insulting the sun and freezing it into a giant ice cube.
- Leafy putting racing stripes on the ice-cube sun to turn it back to normal.
- Blocky temporarily putting a block all around the Earth to guard the planet from the heat.
- The absolutely broken points system Four and X used throughout the episode. Somehow, the teams ended up with whopping scores of negative 90 million and negative 100 million points.
- Jerkass Ball: X has it in this episode; he complains about the Have Nots being mean to him when all they're doing is trying to cool him from the sun. He also subtracts a lot of points for no real reason.
- Reaching Between the Lines: After Ruby is eliminated, Four sticks his arm into Donut's camera and it sticks out of the screen of Ruby's tablet so he can grab Ruby, bring her back to Earth and send her to the BRB.
- Slasher Smile: Leafy has one when she zaps Lollipop with a laser.
- Space Episode: At least partly, due to the Have Cots (and Firey) being stuck on the sun from the events of the previous episode.
