When Julien awards Hector a medal for his heroism in an old war, nobody cares, leading to Julien decide to rally the kingdom by staging a fake war against the butterflies. Unfortunately, the butterflies have been looking for a chance to go to war, and the war becomes all too real.
Tropes:
- Call-Back: Clover tells Julien the navy is ready for battle. Cut to Willie, who is still the captain of the navy after being appointed that position back in "Poll Position".
- Curb-Stomp Battle: The war is completely one-sided in favor of the butterflies. It's almost like Julien didn't even realize what a war entails.
- Cut a Slice, Take the Rest: The Crocodile Ambassador does this when eating the cake Julien sends as a gift to encourage them to join the war, which turns out to be a bad idea when the cake triggers his gluten allergy.
- God Save Us from the Queen!: The butterfly queen seems to be the only one interested in a war, so when she is accidentally killed, the butterflies rejoice and leave in peace.
- Hope Sprouts Eternal: A single flower growing on a devastated battlefield is seen as so beautiful to Julien that he decides to pursue peace instead of war.
- Killer Rabbit: The butterflies are out to prove that they are more that just mere "decoration", and completely devastate the kingdom.
- Not Now, We're Too Busy Crying Over You: When the SS Pee Pee Pants is sunk in battle, everyone assumes Willie went down with the ship.Julien: (Crying on Willie's shoulder) I'm really gonna miss that guy!Willie: What is everyone crying about?Julien: Willie?!(Willie smiles awkwardly, Clover punches him out)
- Skewed Priorities: Horst's entire hut was completely destroyed in an butterfly attack, but he seems more broken up that he spilled his beverage.
- Spontaneous Human Combustion: Ted rocks out so hard on his guitar that he abruptly explodes. He turns up fine later.Maurice: I didn't know lemurs could explode like that.Julien: Yeah, that's how much he loves his kingdom, Maurice.
- Telepathy: Since the butterflies don't have working mouths, they communicate telepathically instead.
