Basic Trope: Heroes and villains have differently shaped eyes.

  • Straight: Gary the Good has wide, round, blue eyes, while Ethan the Evil has narrow, red eyes.
  • Exaggerated: Gary's eyes are so big they cover most of his face, while Ethan's are so small they can barely be seen.
  • Downplayed: Gary has Tareme Eyes while Ethan has Tsurime Eyes.
  • Justified: Dark magic compresses the skull, making eyes look smaller.
  • Inverted: Gary has narrow eyes while Ethan has wide eyes.
  • Subverted: Gary has wide, blue eyes... But these turn out to be Occult Blue Eyes.
  • Double Subverted: Only because Gary is under a spell. Once the spell is broken, it turns out Gary has large green eyes.
  • Parodied: ???
  • Zig Zagged: Some heroes have wide eyes, while others have narrower eyes.
  • Averted: Everybody's eyes are a normal size.
  • Enforced: The creators wanted the heroes to look more cute and visually appealing than the villains to avoid the audience sympathising with the villain.
  • Lampshaded: ???
  • Invoked: Charles wears glasses which make his eyes look bigger, because he knows the heroes will eventually win and he wants to be on the right side when they do.
  • Exploited: Cosmetic surgeons help heroes and villains act as spies by changing their eye shapes to those of the other side.
  • Defied: Ethan trains himself to hold his eyes open, because he knows he'll get more support if he doesn't obviously look evil.
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: ???
  • Deconstructed:
    • Ethan's eyes are so narrow he can barely see, and Gary uses this to defeat him.
    • Gary's eyes are so wide, he is blinded by the sun, and has to only travel at night.
  • Reconstructed:
    • Ethan's other senses have become much stronger to compensate for his bad eyesight, giving him a Disability Superpower.
    • Gary can't see in the day, but he has very good night vision. In addition, him travelling at night helps him avoid detection by Ethan's Mooks.
