Nightmare Fuel / Ultraman Nexus

• Upon his death and disappearance, Himeya's friends appear to gather to pay respects in what appears to be a Heartwarming Moment, but as the dialog goes on, it becomes increasingly obvious nobody has "seen him for years" despite his Heroic Sacrifice just hours ago.
• A young girl named Riko has her parents transformed into spawn by the Space Beast Nosferu and she is implanted into a pulsating fleshy sack in the beast's head. When rescued and mindwiped by the Memory Police, something goes horribly wrong and her personality and other memories are deleted forcing her to relive ONLY memories of the traumatic event.
  • It gets worse, because another girl named Riko was the host of Dark Faust and Nosferu was specifically sent by Dark Mephisto to kill her family to mentally break her so she wouldn't resist Faust's control. It's entirely possible he was trying to do it again.
• A few of the Space Beasts could count, particularly in their designs and behavior. Kutuura stands out amongst the gang of horrors as a walking mass of tentacles and tormented faces that likes to snatch unlucky humans and drag them to its home dimension to eat. Not your typical Ultra Monster design.
• In the last episode, Dark Zagi's possession on a scientist named Hajime Yamaoka is bone-chilling and you can see that not only is he possessed but his consciousness has been purged and his possession is also quite painful and terrifying.
