As a slice-of-life comic focused on Olive and her friends, this trope is bound to appear occasionally.- Olive enters her classroom fully expecting her peers to become hostile due to her transgender status. Instead, nearly every guy in the class is immediately smitten with her, forcing her twin brother Owen to get in-between them all. The comic ends with them all taking a selfie with her.
- When a group of elementary-school students visit and notice that Olive is a girl at an all-boys school, she explains to them that she's transgender, and the kids ask her various questions about what it's like being a trans girl, all in very respectful and genuinely curious tones. The next time Olive meets the kids, she learns that her coming-out story inspired one of the kids to come out, as a trans boy named Joe. Olive's reaction is the page image.
- Obsidian, despite his abrasive and blunt nature, is a genuinely sweet kid underneath. He's the only one to notice that Olive isn't coping as well as she's pretending, he takes her to the infirmary after she passes out, and he even commissions the theatre kids to make a custom uniform for her.
- In a follow-up comic, we learn that Obsidian feeds the stray griffins (here griffins are domestic cat/small bird mixes) in his spare time. He also brings Olive to his hometown on his broom, and when they return back he's actually carrying her on his back. For all his posturing, Obsidian is a good kid.
- When Olive and Obsidian find a domestic griffin in a flock of strays, they travel to the griffin's home, where they meet Gossamer Dusk, her owner. Gossamer drags them into her home and... proceeds to feed them cookies. Her being open about her adoption of her son, Roman, also helps to reassure Olive of her womanhood, and she gives her blessing for Olive to keep Cyan, the griffin.
- Really, Gossamer's doting on the two teens. Empty Nest has hit Gossamer hard, it seems, and having two kids to shower with attention and affection is clearly good for her. She treats them very gently and is remarkably honest about her infertility, and when Cyan wants to go with Olive she readily agrees to it.
- Along with this is the mild Ship Tease between Olive and Sid. They've become close in the short time they've been friends- he ferries her to his home on his broom, causing her to go into a Security Cling, and when she realizes that she's safe with him the two have a Held Gaze. He later brings her home while she's sleeping on his back, a soft smile on his face. D'aww!
- Olive's parents realizing that she's trans before she does, and changing the way they treat her to make her happier. They even fight her headmaster on letting Olive stay in school for her last year, and don't tolerate any hostility towards their daughter. Good Parents, indeed!

Despite Olive being Oblivious to Love, Gigi's just happy to spend time with her. - Sid is jealous about how affectionate the rest of his friends are with each other, but as soon as he remarks on it they immediately begin looping him in. The soft smile on his face as they shower him with attention shows that it's very much appreciated.
- Owen gets a crush on the new transfer student, but the moment said student makes a transphobic remark about Olive, Owen immediately slams him into the ground. No one messes with his sister.
- The Halloween two-parter is full of these.
- Olive getting to meet Joe again and his mother, who thanks Olive for inspiring Joe to come out as trans. As a bonus, Olive realizes that she's walked two blocks in heels, something that was giving her trouble earlier.
- Sid and Gigi bonding over their mutual interest in brooms. Despite Gigi starting the night as a Clingy Jealous Girl, she soon finds herself chatting about magic with him, talking like old friends.
- Owen helping Lyndon and Itsuki get revenge on the homophobes who slammed their doors on the two by egging and TPing their houses.
- Olive's aunt and uncle apparently caught on to the fact that she was trans before she came out to them, and bought her jewelry for Christmas.
