- Escapist Character: Olive. She's a trans girl with an extremely loving and supportive family, she has several close friends, her old childhood best friend is in love with her, the boys at her school all think she's beautiful, and the only major problems she has to deal with are small-scale issues related to being transgender. Considering how many authors will use Trans Tribulations as an excuse for cheap unnecessary trauma onto their trans characters, this is definitely a case of Tropes Are Tools.
- LGBT Fanbase: It's a story about a trans girl who's validated by the narrative, loved by her family, and adored by the boys at her school, along with being ace-friendly and having plenty of LGBTA characters.
- Moe: Cyan, the griffin that Olive ends up adopting in the Griffin two-parter. She's so small!
- W.A.F.F.: It's a slice-of-life comic about a trans girl having fun with her friends, adjusting to her transition, and getting plenty of love from the people around her. Pure wish fulfillment at its finest.
