Heartwarming / The Glass Scientists

Go To

  • The various borderline-paternal interactions between Dr. Jekyll and Jasper.
    • Jekyll's genuine, tender smile the moment after Jasper thanks him and closes the door.
    • When the rest of the lodgers abandon Jekyll when swayed by Frankenstein's Romantic philosophy, Jasper is the only one who sticks with Jekyll and continues his exhibit. Jekyll is so touched that he is physically holding back tears before he agrees to help Jasper with his exhibit.
  • Any time Jasper or Jekyll geek out over science. Especially considering Jekyll rarely shows his true colors when he's not Hyde.
  • Henry encouraging Rachel to talk to her crush on her own, telling her he's sure Jasper will be flattered by her interest in him.
  • While he has trouble expressing it directly without hiding behind a layer of ironic detachment, Lanyon deeply cares for Jekyll and is willing to go to great lengths to help him, no matter what the problem is. The moments where Robert lets his guard down and expresses his concern for Henry are both heartwarming and heartbreaking, cause he inevitably puts up the emotional barrier again, and it's clear that it’s driving a wedge between them.
  • Despite neither of them feeling any romantic attachment toward each other, Lanyon and Everly do have quite a friendly relationship, contently living together and confiding in each other, as well as supporting each other's passions and ambitions.
  • After over a decade of being forced apart, heartbreak and internal biphobia, and hiding in the closet, Jekyll and Lanyon finally talk about what happened and confess that they’re still in love with each other, resulting in a Big Damn Kiss and them sleeping together.
