  • The pictures at the beginning of the game, after you first adopt the child. The Player Character only had this kid in their life for three years, but the two of them already formed a loving family.
  • On the first day of the game proper, Karin says this when you give her a bath:
    Karin: Bu Bu Bu Bubbles!
  • If you click on the child they giggle happily, representing the Player Character tickling, petting, and/or hugging them. This also raises the child's comfort.
  • Buying and crafting your child new toys. They're genuinely grateful and excited for these gestures of kindness.
    • When you leave the town forever, the child takes a moment to individually tell every toy about the move so the toys won't be scared.
  • Giving your child an expensive meal. They say that it’s delicious and thank you for cooking it for them.
  • When you cook food, the child watches you and smiles. Even at the child's absolute lowest, they still can't help but smile at least briefly while watching you turn fish and vegetables into a soup.
  • If the player responds to the "Ommi" drawing by asking the child who the woman is, the child will not be able to pinpoint where they know the woman from, but remember her as the nicest woman they ever knew.
  • At the end of the game, if you consistently fulfilled promises to the child and gave accurate predictions of what to expect from the world, the child tells you that they trust you fully. You may well become the only person in the world that your child really trusts.
  • The remastered version gives you more opportunities to bond and spend time with the child, including skipping rocks on the lake, playing with leaves in the forest, and making things out of old newspapers. Seeing Klaus or Karin giggle when you toss leaves on them or give them a paper hat brings some much-appreciated levity to the game.
