Heartwarming / Joseph: King of Dreams

Go To

  • A brief scene of young Joseph playing ball with his brothers. They're all having a good time with no family drama involved...until Jacob snatches him away to present him his special coat.
    • At the beginning, Joseph's brothers immediately welcome their newborn baby brother into their lives and are excited.
  • "You know better than I, you know the way. I've let go the need to know why." Joseph's buttery-smooth vocals-provided by Australian singer-songwriter David Campbell-just sell it.
  • When Joseph forgives a remorseful Potiphar for imprisoning him. His smile just seals the deal and Potiphar looks close to tears.
  • A small one, but Benjamin is clearly shown to be on good terms with his brothers. Summed up in this exchange when Joseph tests his brothers by threatening to make Benjamin a slave:
  • This dialogue at the end when Joseph reveals himself to his brothers, having realized they truly are sorry for betraying him and have tried to atone for it.
Joseph: Can you forgive me for thinking I was some miracle from God?
Judah: But you are a miracle. God sent you to save our family and all of Egypt. And you did.
    • Before this, Judah reveals the truth to Joseph about them selling their youngest brother into slavery, saying "If anyone is to be punished, it should be us". It's his subsequent kneeling and his brothers also kneeling that causes Joseph to realize the prophecy he had dreamed about his brothers bowing to him (the catalyst that resulted in his brothers selling him into slavery) came true.
