Headscratchers / Look Who's Back

• Toward the very end of the film, Hitler says "It's fine for everyone to celebrate. But we also want to remember our comrades, who can no longer be with us", cutting to Sawatzki in the mental institution. The question is, was Hitler merely being sarcastic or did he have some remorse about the real Sawatzki? After all, he was the one that helped him rise to power, and if the book is the same in the film, Hitler did write Sawatzki having a good ending... but at the same time, in the movie within the movie, Sawatzki tries to shoot Hitler.
• How did Hitler get to the 2010s anyway? It's never explained, the only visual clue in the film is some smoke around him when he wakes up, not unlike time-travelling characters from Les Visiteurs or The Terminator minus the Can't Take Anything with You rule since he is fully clothed. Besides, he apparently got transported to the 21st century before committing suicide since he has no wound in the head (in real life, he shot himself after taking a Cyanide Pill), so unless it's some sort of magic, it's not a resurrection.
  • Something of a WMG, but it seems to be an As Long as There Is Evil situation, where the resurgence of far right nationalist beliefs has summoned him back to life as some sort of Anthropomorphic Personification of fascism.
