Since most of Hiroshi's episodes focus on him being cheated on by the Girl of the Week, it's a given that most of these cheating wives only married him for the money and will dump him at the sight of a richer man or resort to harebrained schemes to squeeze money out of him if he's rich. Therefore, it shouldn't be a surprise that this would warrant Refreshing Stories a Gold Digger subpage.


  • "The autocorrection on my wife's phone exposed her affair": Hiroshi found out Minaho's affair via the autocorrect in her phone. After few extensive research, he found out her boyfriend was a guy named Takuma. Moreover, she plans to divorce Hiroshi, accuse him of cheating, and sue him for damages.
  • "The bride doesn't like the groom's friend...": Aika is a mysterious young woman who only dated Hiroshi's best friend, Tsurugi Ogawa, for his money. She already had a bone to pick with Hiroshi since he was a high school graduate, unlike Ogawa. Furthermore, Hiroshi, who turns out to be a CEO, fired Ogawa through his wedding speech to expose her true colors and even gathered Aika's previous fiancé, Kanata Tanaka, and her ex-husband, Akira Samase, with whom she had a daughter named Rina. She planned to use Ogawa's money to bribe Akira into keeping the child.
  • "A car tore down the walls to my new home and...": Senka chewed her husband Hiroshi out for his frugal decisions. When she was at the library reading books on how to make Hiroshi into an "alpha male", she met a guy named Akito Furukawa, a Con Man who introduced himself as an "entrepreneur/marketing expert".
  • "Caught my wife cheating on me…": Seiko constantly asked Hiroshi for money despite his best efforts as he worked abroad in Brazil. When he came back to Japan two years later, he found out she was cheating on him via a video call from his daughter Saya. This caused a pissed-off Hiroshi to send the recording to Seiko's parents. What's more, she neglected Saya all those two years he worked abroad. As a result, he forced them to pay compensation, driving the lovebirds to live in a shabby apartment.
  • "Crazy woman thinks my husband is a CEO and stole him, only to find out he had a huge debt": While Neruko went out with Rin's husband Harutaro before, she plotted to steal him after her friend Mari told her he was a wealthy man who earned 2 million a year. However, Rin reveals later that Harutaro's wealth was actually an act; he was unemployed but he wore clothes that made him look wealthy. Weeks after Rin is forced to sign the papers and let the lovebirds marry, Neruko shows up to scold her after finding out the truth; it also turns out Harutaro does have 2 million... in debt.
  • "Delusional woman thinks I'm going to marry her...": After Hiroshi had Yuri arrested and jailed for wrecking his house in "revenge" for marrying Miyu, he asked her why did she do the aforementioned deed. She confessed that her parents' earnings decreased and thus got in a hurry to get married; she picked Hiroshi because he worked at a major company. As a consequence, he had her and her family to pay compensation for damages and he blocked Yuri.
  • "Getting revenge on my wife after finding out that she was cheating on me in a public restroom": Hiroshi's wife cheats on him with a successful businessman named Ken Sawabe, who was also Bunta's boss. After finding out, Hiroshi decides to trick the man by passing as Shoko. After Sawabe ends up in his trap, Hiroshi forces him to spit up the truth and then chews Shoko out for her cheating.
  • "The girl thought she would always have a sugar daddy. The nicest man snapped and…": Akane took advantage of the overweight Hiroshi's kindness and treated him as her sugar daddy, having him pay for their meals together and constantly asking him for money. However, Hiroshi eventually realizes her true colors when he is forced to pay for her plastic surgery. Later on, he forced her to pay compensation as she owed him money for her plastic surgery and the taxi fare, which summed up to 2,489,860 yen, driving her to take part-time jobs to pay the debt.
  • "Girlfriend dumped me, then…": Kana divorced Hiroshi for being broke and revealed she was cheating on him. When he finally won the lottery after spending time buying tickets, she persistently begged him to take her back until he caves in. However, he also brings along her lover; she also dumped him when he went bankrupt.
  • "Girlfriend was cheating on me with her lover with my money": Rio cheated on Hiroshi and spent his money on a trip to Italy he booked 3 months ahead to move it to the present day. However, his sister drives him to the airport to confront Rio and her lover George by following them around the whole trip. Furthermore, he has their whole trip canceled before going back to Japan.
  • "Gold Digger Elopes With The Boss… When She Learns The Truth…": Kayoko leaves Hiroshi to elope with the Chairman of his company. The man then has Hiroshi fired for embezzling the company's money, leaving him broke. Turns out the Chairman framed him and forced his son the President to fire him with the same slander. When Hiroshi and the President foiled his embezzlement attempt and forced the bastard to pay from his retirement funds, Kayoko tried to get him back only to be rejected.
  • "Gold digging husband divorced me after he thought my family was poor": Takao only married Rin for her parent's money which he hopes to use to pay off his gambling debts. When he found out that Rin's father retired, he immediately divorced Rin. When Rin found out the truth from Manami, she was furious and had her father enroll in the horse racing competition and he won, making Takao lose the bet. Takao despaired but when he saw that Rin's father was a horse-racer, he tried to get back with Rin but he failed.
  • "I don't care if he's married. I won't miss the feeling of meeting new guys": Terumi and Misaki attend Yodobashi's wedding to find rich men behind Hiroshi's back. However, Hiroshi starts to imply Terumi cheated on him causing her to blow up at Misaki for allegedly snitching on her. However, exposing Misaki's affairs out of spite backfires on her when Terumi's lovers, Yosokawa and Kamonohashi, both call her out. Misaki takes the opportunity to expose Terumi's affairs in retaliation, driving Yodobashi's wedding into chaos. Afterward, Hiroshi divorces Terumi and sues her along with her ten lovers, with their families following suit as some of them were married. As for Misaki, her reputation as an easy woman gets her sued to oblivion.
  • "I encountered my wife having an affair while I was on my business trip": Uwami only married Hiroshi for his money and cheated on him with a flashy-looking guy named Charahiro. When Hiroshi caught them while dressed up as a mascot playing table tennis, he divorced Uwami and forced her lover to pay for damages.
  • "I found my wife on a dating app": Yua secretly browsed a dating app behind her husband Hiroshi's back to find herself a "better" man than him. When she decided to find herself a rich boyfriend and matched with a man named Rokuroumaru, he rejected her for seeking money until she told him all the bad things she did, among them using his money to fund her affair. However, Hiroshi showed up and revealed he was all of the guys she contacted.
  • "I kept on getting massive electricity bills. When I checked on my neighbor I noticed something weird": After Mr. Ugai got chased down by his customers for letting the fish go bad on top of having to pay for his electricity theft, Hiroshi found out that his wife Satomi cheated on him, the evidence not only pictures taken by Bunta as his personal PI, but her negligible use of electricity when he was absent. What's more, Satomi even admits to using his money to fund her affairs.
  • "I pretended to go on a business trip to expose my cheating wife": Mio only married Hiroshi right after she was dumped and only stuck with him for his money, spending it on designer goods and beauty treatments. When he spotted the electric shaver filled with unknown hair, Hiroshi faked a business trip to catch her red-handed and discovered she was cheating on him with a man named Akio. As a result, he forces both of the lovebirds to pay compensation for damages. Eventually, Akio dumps Mio years later.
  • "I started hearing unnatural sounds in my house so I got an exorcist to take care of it but...": Hoshimi slept with a man named Reito, who supposedly lived in a high-rise luxury apartment. However, the man decided to live in the attic to mooch off of him and eat their food without them noticing. She even dreamed of luxury apartments and designer-brand bags. When Reito was finally caught by Hiroshi, Bunta, and Kanata Tanaka, he reveals he is homeless and full of debt. Eventually, the man is arrested for charges of trespassing, illegal residency, and theft.
  • "I trusted my wife with my money to build a house, but I was wrong": Natsumu only married Hiroshi after he became rich with his hard work, as she told him to come back propose to her when he became rich. Moreover, she manipulated him into building a mansion for her and her lover Suguru under the excuse it was also for her parents, and then make Hiroshi pay for everything.
  • "I was on a company vacation and at the hotel, I saw a woman that looked exactly like my wife…": Mari cheated on her salesman husband Hiroshi with a guy named Takato at the same hotel he and his company went to. When he found them out and threatened divorce, she decides to shift gears and act all loyal to make him forgive her for her cheating. However, he doesn't buy it and manages to get compensation money from her. In the end, she even admits to marrying only elite trading workers or entrepreneurs and runs off to find herself such a husband, with her whereabouts unknown.
  • "Married my boss's beautiful daughter… and found something shocking in the secret basement": Chinatsu is an interesting example, as she doesn't cheat on Hiroshi, but instead, she intends to murder him and claim his insurance money. Turns out she also did this to her previous husband and sees all men as potential wallets to murder out of their money.
  • "My daughter showed me a drawing of family, which had one extra person in it...": Shino married Hiroshi for his money and cheated on him with a guy named Furuta when he was absent. Hiroshi's first clue was when his daughter Ichika drew herself and her family, but she drew him in the background and her mother with Furuta next to her.
  • "My daughter was sending me an SOS signal through our video call without my wife noticing": Horami always demanded money from Hiroshi, who worked abroad in Brazil for the time being. Turns out she cheated on Hiroshi with several men and spent the money she was given on them. On top of that, she abuses their daughter Haru and locks her outside of the house whenever she has an affair. Eventually, Hiroshi goes back to Japan to catch her red-handed with her latest lover Fuji, and forces them to pay compensation.
  • "My daughter was talking about a vacation I didn't remember...": Yumeko cheated on her husband Hiroshi with his rival and lookalike Masashi because he earned more money. Moreover, she took advantage of their physical similarities and tricked their daughter Mami into believing Masashi was her dad instead of Hiroshi.
  • "My ex-girlfriend dissed the fact that I lost my job but I found a way to teach her a lesson": Yurie dumped Hiroshi for losing his job and invited him to her wedding to a successful guy named Koji. She kept making fun of him until Koji revealed he is the CEO of his company. When she tried to cover up her mockery to him, Hiroshi's secretary Mamiya exposed her. When Hiroshi asked Koji why he married Yurie, he revealed he wanted someone who was happy to do the household chores while he worked and take care of his parents when they aged. Yurie flipped out at him and begged Hiroshi to take her back, only to reject her and leave with Mamiya as he had a pending appointment.
  • "My ex-girlfriend wanted to get back with me after hearing I won the jackpot of 5 billion yen": Hiroshi met Kaneko at a mixer party and they started dating. However, she suddenly breaks up with him despite his pleas to get back with her. It turns out she heard from Bunta that he became an orphan as a child and grew up in a children's home. Later on, when he won a lottery prize of 500 million yen, Kaneko went on an outrageous spending spree hoping Hiroshi would pay it for her once he married her. However, when she tried to get back with him, he revealed he was married to a woman named Yumi. Moreover, he and Yumi donated all the money to the homes in which they grew up. Therefore, even if he did marry her, she would be unable to pay her spending spree anyway.
  • "My ex-wife is suing me, so I'm going to make regret it" [sic]: Oriko was diagnosed with depression after overworking herself, but turns out to have faked it as an excuse to abuse and mooch off of her husband Hiroshi. When he caught her having an affair and sued them for damages, she slandered Hiroshi to her second boyfriend Shigeru and both proceeded to sue him for scamming her to get her money back. However, the Judge dismisses the case and has both the lovebirds arrested for attempted fraud after hearing her case in court.
  • "My girlfriend dumped me because I was poor, but a few years later...": Riho only stuck with Hiroshi for his money to buy frivolities, but she soon dumped him after the company he worked at went bust and sicced her new boyfriend Masaya on him under the excuse that Hiroshi stalked her. A few years later, when she found out Hiroshi became a successful apartment owner, she dumped her now-husband Masaya and tried to get back with him, but he has none of it. Moreover, Masaya rejected her as well for her gold-digging.
  • "My idiot wife lied about a vacation and was cheating on me…": Kyoko only married Hiroshi for his high salary, subjecting him to verbal and financial abuse on top of using their daughter to guilt-trip him. Moreover, when she messaged her lover, Go, she outright calls him an ATM before going into a trip to the hot springs.
  • "My girlfriend dumped me for a guy who bought an apartment in a high-rise building…": Shiori only hooked up with Hiroshi in the hopes he would become rich, but since he didn't make any progress in his work and kept living in a rundown apartment, she attended a singles' party behind his back and meets salesman Yuto Nakagawa, who is richer and lives in a high-rise building. Eventually, Shiori dumps him and moves in with Nakagawa to the top floor of his building and sleeps with him. However, it turns out the high-rise building belonged to Hiroshi when he moved in there as Nakagawa got on his knees and begged for forgiveness. After the truth is revealed, Shiori tries to get back with Hiroshi, only for him to chew her out for her cheating before calling the cops on Nakagawa for trespassing and kicking Shiori out of the building.
  • "My idiot wife was using my child's gift money to go to escort clubs": Hiroshi found out his wife Naka took several loans and spent the money on escort clubs. When he and her family took her to task. At first, she seemed regretful and signed a declaration to never frequent such venues as Hiroshi would manage her finances from then on. However, not only she kept frequenting escort clubs, but she even tricked their daughter Miko into revealing the safe with all the money Hiroshi saved for her future to spend it on the clubs. When he spoke with his parents about it, he finds out she was also begging money from them under the excuse it was for Miko. Enraged, they all decided to punish Naka for her irresponsibility.
  • "My wife and mother-in-law use me as their ATM, and I'm too weak to say anything…": Hitomi and her mother Fumi treated Hiroshi like an ATM and spent a lot of money, forcing Hiroshi to work hard and cut back on his spending. After they sold his railway collection, he decided to divorce Hitomi.
  • "My wife asked for a divorce in the middle of a restaurant, on our wedding anniversary…": Minami married Hiroshi for his money and dumped him for a smug guy named Hatayama, who was the head of the marketing department of Hiroshi's company and the Managing Director's son. To make matters worse, Hatayama embezzled funds by having Minami head a fake company to steal Hiroshi's funds.
  • "My wife came home with another man so I...": Iori married Hiroshi for money since he inherited his dad's real estate and used his money to buy frivolities. However, after a great recession struck and he was laid off after his company went bankrupt, she seemingly cheated on him with a shady man named Sapa, who led a money cult to con people out of it.
  • "My wife cheated on me with a guy with a supercar so I showed up in front of them with a...": Kanemi became interested in Hiroshi after she heard from Bunta that he's rich. However, after they got married, Kanemi got sick of Hiroshi's penny-pinching and cheated on him with Ikiro, whose supercar was supposedly better than the beatdown car Hiroshi inherited from his grandfather. Therefore, he planted a GPS on her and found out about the affair. As a result, Hiroshi divorced Kanemi soon after; she and Ikiro kept on fighting and soon split up.
  • "My wife cheated on me with the company president and got me fired": Mitsuko cheated on Hiroshi with his company's CEO and conspired with the bastard to get him fired. After the divorce, she calls him to inform him that the CEO needs him back as the company is falling. When Mitsuko tries to get back with Hiroshi, he reminds her that she's going to marry the CEO. Eventually, she calls him again to inform him of a bunch of people at the CEO's office; it turns out her new husband was in their sights for tax evasion, which was the reason Mitsuko offered to make Hiroshi the new CEO.
  • "My wife found out I was ill, so she went on a trip with her boyfriend": Reiko married Hiroshi for his money and whined about how he doesn't let her spend lots of money. That said, she hoped for Hiroshi to die so she can steal his money and live a lavish life with her lover Kazuto. When he fell ill because of a rotten oyster on top of his stress over Reiko's overspending, Reiko celebrated and even went on a trip with Kazuto after he pretended himself dead.
  • "My wife got kidnapped! However, I knew it was all a set up...": Mariko fawned over actor Kenji and used Hiroshi's money to buy his merchandise by the droves. Eventually, she cheated on him in spite of Kenji being married himself. To avoid repercussions, the cheating couple faked a kidnapping to squeeze money out of Hiroshi, only for him to see through their scheme. In response, Hiroshi sent his camera crew to their immediate location to record them live and expose their scheme nationwide.
  • "My wife had an affair with a famous musician…so I did a street performance to strike back": Kaede started as a member of Hiroshi's rock band and his wife, but she broke it up without asking him first after the band ran out of money because of its lack of popularity. Later on, it turns out she did this to cheat on him with the lead singer of a more popular band named Dead Rift.
  • "My wife kept asking me for money to spend with some other guy...": Tamayo mooched off of Hiroshi's money and used it to cheat on him with a guy named Michiyo. Both were lying to each other, as Michiyo was actually a poor part-time worker living with his parents who lied about being a CEO while Tamayo hid the fact she was married and even lied about her dad being a powerful investor. Eventually, Hiroshi divorces her and has both her and Michiyo pay compensation.
  • "My wife had an affair with a lawyer and they tried to sue me but...": Reina cheated on Hiroshi with a good-looking lawyer named Shin and plotted alongside him to create fake evidence to make it look like he was the cheater to squeeze him out of every penny in his pocket. However, when Shin summoned Hiroshi to make him "face the consequences of his affair", he sees through their scheme and shows the lovebirds a recording he took of them going to the motel and sues them instead.
  • "My wife left with all of my belongings. Must punish my cheating wife!": Nobuko marries Hiroshi for his money, steals all his belongings, and leaves him with just the house to start a new life with her lover Daigo. However, Hiroshi tracks her location as he installed a GPS in his Benz and has the movers retrieve his stuff, leaving her with just the house and forces her to pay compensation for damages.
  • "My wife recorded herself cheating by mistake because she didn't leave the online meeting…": Nao cheated on Hiroshi with Mr. Nakagawa when he told her he was good-looking and adept at his job. When the couple's boss promoted Nao in their online meeting, she forgot to leave and not only insulted her boss' toupee but slept with Nakagawa in front of Hiroshi and his boss. This causes the boss to take back his promotion and fire Nao from her job. Then Hiroshi sued Nakagawa for damage.
  • "My wife said she was going on a business trip, but was instead having an affair…": Shiori married Hiroshi since he worked in a brokerage firm and secretly vented behind his back since he didn't meet her height and voice requirements. Turns out he was actually a high-school graduate, which caused her to dump him. A construction worker named Santa suggested she falsely accuse Hiroshi of any crimes she could think of in order to drain him out of his money. However, when Hiroshi built a luxurious brand new house, she got back with him only to plan on divorcing him and marrying the construction worker instead, so he decides to pass himself in Shiori's SNS as another adulterer named "Kaho" to get information from her plans.
  • "My wife threatened me that she would divorce me unless I did all the chores so I got divorced": Kasako abused her husband Hiroshi for not being high-income enough and refused to increase his allowance, threatening to divorce him if he refused to do what he's told. When he saw her with Mr. Tagami, he lambasts the man for his affair, but Tagami reveals he wasn't having an affair with Kasako; she was stalking him. Moreover, it turns out she did this ever since Tagami picked up her handkerchief, which led both men to join forces against her.
  • "My wife threatened to divorce me every time I complained about something": Chisato used Hiroshi's money to cheat on him with a guy in Hakone, threatening him with divorce to silence him into submission. But when he found out about her affair, he took action and submitted the divorce papers before she could threaten him. Then Hiroshi forced her and her lover to pay compensation and used the money to take his mother to a hot spring. When Chisato went to her parents' house, they tore her apart for her cheating.
  • "My wife tried to hide the affair but...": Akemi only married Hiroshi for his money while cheating on him with a sleazy-looking dude named Tomohiro. She even downloaded a dating app to contact him while he wasn't looking under the pretense she was messaging a bank.
  • "My wife used her father as an excuse to get away and cheat on me": Hisame fell in love with Mr. Amakasu while Hiroshi was away making deliveries since the former made more money than the latter. Moreover, she uses her dad as an excuse to go on an affair trip with Mr. Amakasu to his second home in the Maldives. While Hiroshi bought it for a while, it all fell apart when her father and Mr. Kamitska visited the store, with the latter exposing Hisame's affair by showing Mr. Amakasu's Instagram feed, which showed a hat Hiroshi bought for her.
  • "My wife used my credit card when she was cheating on me…": Kanako married Hiroshi for his money after investing in virtual currency and used his credit card to spend it on her lover and subordinate Jin. Much to her dismay, Hiroshi downloaded an app to track the use of his credit card when she borrowed it via mail notifications. When he found out the truth, he blocked the card before they could pay the hotel. As a result, both lovers got kicked out of their job and the stress of paying compensation led Kanako to an endless cycle of breaking up and getting back with Jin.
  • "My wife was cheating on me... AGAIN": Ranko cheated on Hiroshi with a guy who earned a ton of money on Ebay, enough to buy her a new car. When he interrogated both lovers, they refused to answer until Hiroshi took Ranko's lover for interrogation.
  • "My wife was cheating on me with my boss so I got him demoted": Rikako cheats on Hiroshi with his boss, Mr. Shimamura, and plans to divorce the former and remarry the latter since he was richer and the "Ace of the Sales Department." When Rikako announces her affair and remarriage in the company's group chat, Hiroshi uses the bastard's self-image against him by suggesting the CEO send him away to Yamanashi, a countryside town.
  • "My wife was cheating with a CEO, so I bought his company": Airin claimed to not be interested in money while married to Hiroshi, but she's actually lying. She grew sick of Hiroshi's frugal living and eventually cheated on him with and married Mr. Hanamura, who was the CEO of Planart. Much to her dismay, Hiroshi bought the management rights of Planart from its main investor Kanata Tanaka, and fired Hanamura from his job, leaving both Airin and her new husband penniless.
  • "My wife was having an affair at home… but my pet parrot exposed them,": After Hiroshi got hospitalized from a car accident on his way home, Fuka complained outside the building that now that he won't work, she won't be able to get beauty treatments and buy brand items. When Hiroshi's boss, Mr. Sakaraumi, shows up, she is too eager to sleep with him. However, when Hiroshi comes home to his pet parrot, Kuru-chan, she repeats the words Fuka said to Mr. Sakaraumi while having their affair, which he ignored until Mr. Sakaraumi's wife calls Hiroshi to check up on her husband.
  • "My wife was having an affair while her company was going bankrupt....": Kanae cheated on Hiroshi with her boss, Mr. Katakura, behind his back. What's more, she kept her marriage to Hiroshi a secret to avoid suspicion and Mr. Katakura was married himself. However, their fling comes down to a crashing halt when they found out their company, Makaron, went bankrupt because of their "1000% Point Campaign". When they come back home, Hiroshi forces them to pay compensation for both damages and his PI's vacation.
  • "Once I became successful, my ex-girlfriend came running back to me and spends my money like crazy": Akina dumped Hiroshi for not making enough money until he sold several inventions. When she got back with him, she started to impose her standards on him. However, the last straw for Hiroshi was when she cheated on him with a guy from a bar.
  • "The prettiest girl rejected me because I was too poor, but little did she know I was...": Kanako dated Hiroshi for two years back in high school, but she revealed it was all a prank and dumped him for Yuuji, the school's resident rich kid, topped off by videos of Hiroshi embarrassing himself forwarded to him from the group's LINE. Years later, she returns upon finding out he became a rich CEO, to which Hiroshi goes along just to return her the favor by taking her on a date to a fancy restaurant and leave her there to pay the bill.
  • "She dumped me back in high school, but now she was trying to get back with me": Motoko dumped Hiroshi in high school for being poor. When he became a famous doctor, she came back to harass him into marriage since her new delinquent boyfriend and subsequent ones were poor. However, he agreed to marry her only if she met the conditions he laid out for her while venturing into the notorious red-light district of Kabukicho. Obviously, she failed to meet any of them as she got hooked on a host club and her constant visits sank her into debt.
  • "Showing up at my in-law's place to prove that my wife is cheating on me": Rena always calls off her dates with Hiroshi right before these happen. It turns out she cheated on Hiroshi with a rich man named Makoto. Worst of all, she has her dad cover it up from him and her mom. When she lied to him about going to her parents' house in Gunma, he snuck in a GPS on her suitcase and found out she went to Karuizawa instead, leading him to go to her parents' house and exposing her dad's cheating on her mom. Eventually, he forces Rena and her lover to pay compensation, only for Makoto to dump her.
  • "This is how I found out my wife was cheating on me": Yurika cheated on Hiroshi with a tough-looking guy named Goro Kumada, who appeared to be richer than him. However, Goro is actually a poor sod who has to suck up to his wife Ariko to get money for his affair and gets scolded by his younger boss.
  • "This woman sent the wrong message to the PTA chat and exposed her own affair": Chika cheated on her husband Goro with Rin's ex-husband Shuhei because he claimed to be the owner of a casino. When she accidentally reached Rin trying to message a friend of hers, she revealed her pregnancy and affair, right down to planning her divorce and remarrying Shuhei instead. Angered by the situation, Rin messages Chika and reveals the latter's messages were in the PTA's LINE chat. In the end, Chika begs her lover Shuhei to lend her money for the alimony, not knowing he is actually a Lazy Bum who squandered his money in casinos.
  • "Wife cheated on me while I was on a business trip": Kazu's wife, Rikako, constantly demanded he get a promotion to bring more money into the house and even decry his spineless demeanor.
  • "Wife leaves husband for earning less than her": Sarah was a hard-working woman who boasted about work to hide her distress as her boss worked her like a slave. When she met her client, Sorao Katakura, at the bar, she hid the fact she was married and then took all her anger out on Hiroshi, accusing him of dumping all his debt on her before vanishing and other things. When Mr. Katakura proposes to her, she gives him a huge dressing-down before divorcing him so she can marry Sorao. However, it's all for naught when Sorao calls her over not to marry her, but to chew her out for lying; he refuses to take her claims at face value and does a background check on her. Moreover, Sorao reveals he's a commoner while Hiroshi was the CEO of the factory she insulted. After Sorao leaves, she tries to get back with Hiroshi, but he tells her off before both he and Sorao sue her for alimony.
  • "Wife left me for my boss": Kanako cheated on Hiroshi with the CEO Mr. Kanenari, even when he himself was married. She moved all her stuff out of their house to live with Kanenari. When the cheating couple went on a holiday trip, Hiroshi informed her that he recorded Kanenari's abuse and exposed his abuse to the whole company, causing him to suffer a pay cut and become a pariah in the company, with Hiroshi becoming a manager while Kanenari is his subordinate. Eventually, the cheater couple now lives in complete squalor and defaulted on their payments.
  • "Wife lied about working at a flower shop and...": Hana lied to Hiroshi about working at a flower shop to cover up her stint at a hostess club. When Hiroshi enters the bar in disguise, she reveals she's looking for a boyfriend until he reveals himself and forces her and her lover to pay alimony. When she tried to force him to pay for the wines he ordered, his rich friend reveals that Hana's boss Tabito was refilling expensive bottles with cheap wine.
  • "Wife thinks she is smart and can hide the evidence of her affair, but I found it!": Kotomi married Hiroshi for his money and cheated on him with a guy named Satoshi. She often hides the evidence of her cheating by blocking her boyfriend's LINE account whenever he was around. After watching a ghost-hunting TV show with Hiroshi, she started to give money to a shady fortune teller named Yamakasi to help her rid the house of evil spirits. This was the last straw for Hiroshi, who downloaded the LINE app on his computer at Kanata Tanaka's suggestion, finding out about her affair. As a result, he forces the lovebirds to pay him compensation and has Yamakasi arrested for scamming her clients.
  • "Wife sent me a pic of her and a dude when she was drunk": Misa pretended to be rich and single to fish for unsuspecting rich guys behind Hiroshi's back. When he found out, she proclaimed to stay with him until she could find a nice rich man. Hiroshi then takes advantage of it to tell her there was a rich guy who did want to marry her, allowing him to divorce her. However, Misa finds out her "nice rich man" was a poor jobless man whose bread tasted bad and begged Hiroshi to take her back, only to be rejected and forced to pay alimony.
  • "Wife was having an affair with my boss I caught them banging in the meeting room so...": Kako cheated on Hiroshi with his boss, Mr. Futamata, behind his back. Moreover, after the former got demoted, she always prepared simple rice for Hiroshi's lunch while preparing his lunchbox for Futamata instead, using overtime work as an excuse. When he found out and saw them doing it in the meeting room, he proceeded to catch them red-handed by taking their clothes away and locking them in the room.
  • "While I was playing hide and seek...": Sayaka only married Hiroshi for his money. Moreover, ever since Hiroshi made several improvements to the house, she always sent both him and their daughter Aina to her parents' house and resorted to flimsy excuses to not hire a babysitter. It turns out Sayaka did this to cheat on Hiroshi with her boss, Koike.
  • "My girlfriend broke up with me because she didn't think I would become a pro basketball player": Hiroshi asked Akane out, however she turned out that she only cared about money, and was hoping Hiroshi would make it as a professional basketball player, so he can shower her with riches. However Yuta (who also had a crush on her) deliberately caused Hiroshi to have an accident, the doctors told him that he could never play basketball again. Akane broke up with him and Yuta became her boyfriend. Years later, Yuta became a professional basketball player, howeve he wasn't doing too well and Akane got so impatient that when she heard Hiroshi did indeed become a basketball player. She spent a lot of money to go to America to marry him, however Hiroshi rejected her proposal and Yuta arrived to take her back. When they returned to Japan, the two were in debt as a result of Akane's reckless spending.
  • "My girlfriend dumped me when I was in college but...": Manami dated Hiroshi since he was the smartest of her class despite being poor, hoping to mooch off him once he became successful. Right as Hiroshi got accepted into T University, his father disappeared after sinking into a colossal debt, which the man took on for one of his friends as a joint guarantor, and Hiroshi had to take hard-labor jobs after his classes to make ends meet. Eventually, Manami dumps him after he quits college following falling ill from juggling work and study. Ten years later at the class reunion party, Manami kept making fun of Hiroshi and bragged about her husband making $150,000 a year. Much to her surprise, Hiroshi reveals he's the CEO of Skatt Marketplace. It turns out he made the site with the help of Mitsuki and reached an agreement with an American telecommunications company to improve its servers. Moreover, he also reveals that Manami's husband, Satoshi Tanaka, was in his sights for embezzlement. When Manami tries to get back with him, Mitsuki shows up as it's revealed Hiroshi was already married.
