  • When Father Burke and Sister Irene first meet Frenchie, the latter nonchalantly asks if Burke is Irene's angry father or jealous husband and explains that's normally the case when an older man shows up at his doorstep early in the morning with a "young, beautiful, not-so-innocent girl" on his side.
    • Frenchie is initially reluctant to escort the duo to the monastery, so what gets him to change his mind? Sister Irene asks him nicely.
  • As they're about to start their journey to the monastery, Frenchie passes a truck that starts gearing up. Mistaking it for their ride, Father Burke and Sister Irene place their luggage on the truck which then abruptly starts moving without them and reveals behind it Frenchie with his horse carriage. When he realizes what's happened, he stops the truck with a whistle as Sister Irene ends up laughing.
Frenchie: You took a plane from Rome, a bus from Bucharest. And now, my friends, you're in the Dark Ages. In the backwoods of Romania. [Father Burke and Sister Irene place their luggage on an old truck that starts moving without them, revealing Frenchie with his carriage] Now you travel by horse. Where are your things? [Sister Irene tries to stifle her giggling, only to burst out laughing after Frenchie stops the truck]
  • When the heroes find the relic needed to defeat Valak, Frenchie slips out "holy shit". Sister Irene and Father Burke throw a look at him before Burke says in turn "the holiest", almost as if trying to cover the slip with a milder expression.
