When Funi introduces herself, Luca complains that he doesn't like kids. Out of nowhere, Funi pulls out a dog puppet, which proceeds to smack-talk Luca with a crude old man's voice.
"Beego":(all while Funi is still smiling) Yo, big-mouth! You wanna get dragged around by your skinny little arms 'til you're too bruised to stand, huh?! Luca: Say wha?!
In the beginning of the anime, Luca tries introducing himself to Yun-hua, and is left baffled when her response is to promptly apologize. Then a few seconds later, Luca comments on Ulgar's rudeness, and Yun-hua apologizes again.
Luca: Seriously, why?!
Kanata noting that the airport security bots have arrived to take in the purse snatcher he just took down, only for him to get apprehended himself. Even better in the anime, we get a peek from the interface of the robots, who promptly identify him as a "DANGEROUS BOY."
When the kids start eating the candy flowers in Shummoor, Kanata and Luca's faces suddenly turn really Western cartoony. The anime enhances them by adding quotation bubbles and lines going across the background to give their expressions more of a Western comic feel.
The ED shows the various activities the gang gets up to while traveling between planets. Most of them are cute, but some of them are hilarious, such as everyone throwing the lone-wolf Ulgar a big birthday party. Even better, many of them are based on little yonkoma strips that appear at the end of the tankobon volumes.
Aries tries to ask Kanata if he has a girlfriend back home, only for him to say that "all girls are his girlfriends". After leaving the room, Aries decides it's time to hit the hay. Meanwhile, Quitterie shoves a toothbrush up his nose in anger.
Aries: Due to personal reasons, I'm going to bed.
Believing they are going to die on Planet Icriss, Quitterie finally confesses to Zack her dream of marrying him...only to be surprised when he nonchalantly reveals he's always assumed they were going to. He remembered their childhood promise to get married, and has been in love with Quiterrie this whole time. Meanwhile saying all of this with a monotone voice and those dead eyes of his. Quitterie appropriately flips out.
The other crew members find out about their engagement the next episode, and are also shocked and surprised that Zack had such deep feelings for Quitterie this whole time. His blunt, Casanova-like responses only terrify them more.
Kanata trying to enter Aries' room to talk to her about the traitor, only for Aries to misunderstand the situation and think he wants to do "other things " with her.
When the group were discussing how Astra's history was pushed back 100, to the realization of Aries, Polina was asleep for 112 years, meaning she's 140.
During the press conference after the kids finally return, one reporter asks about the starvation the group must have experienced. Yunhua and Aries embarrassedly tell the other to answer, before the latter shyly confesses that she actually gained two kilograms (over four pounds).
