The The Pink Panther movie:

  • Clouseau is in a multistory building where a musical is taking place. Suddenly, Clouseau hears what he believes is a scream (it's a woman singing for the audience), and is ready to knock down the door, but an usher opens the door for him, causing him to dash across the room and out an open window, falling into a pool of Soft Water down on the first floor.
  • Also, the act where Clouseau and Maria Gambrelli must enter into a nudist colony, searching for a specific person. The person they are seeking is found dead. In the end they must escape from the colony without their clothes, so as not to be framed, but they end up stuck in traffic, where onlookers discover that they are nude. They both are taken to the police station with three cops "glued" to the back window of the paddy wagon, looking in at them.
    • Made funnier by the fact that it's the culmination of a Running Gag of Clouseau being arrested and being hauled away in the same paddy wagon for failing to provide "Licenses" for his disguises, with visual gags representing most of the disguises sticking out the back of the wagon.
  • The whole watch-synchronizing bit, especially when Hercule calls Clouseau afterwards.
  • Dreyfus prays to God at the scene of yet another murder: "If someone has been murdered here, please let it be Clouseau, hm?"
  • Also, early on, there's Dreyfus's reaction when he finds out that Clouseau is assigned to the case.
Dreyfus: Who did you assign to the case?
    Francois: (sighs regrettably) Clouseau.
Dreyfus: (shuts eyes) Oh my god.
    • Then it cuts to Clouseau’s Establishing Character Moment, where he arrives at the Ballon estate and immediately tumbles into a pond the moment he steps out of his car.
  • The billiards scene. Clouseau and Ballon are trying to have a serious conversation about the murders, but it's rather undercut by the flying cue balls and broken equipment. (Through it all, George Sanders manages to be unbearably suave, as well as communicate "This is the dumbest man I've ever met" without saying a word, or doing anything so coarse as rolling his eyes.)
Ballon: Would you kill for her?
    Clouseau: Of course! Er, not!
    • Despite maintaining his infamous composure onscreen, in the outtakes George Sanders cracks up twice at Sellers' antics, particularly on the "rit of fealous jage" line.
  • Dreyfus, driven to the breaking point by Clouseau's antics, starts venting his problems to a psychiatrist with hilarious twitching results, freaking out when he says a word the way Clouseau does.
  • At one point Ballon assures Dreyfus that the head butler (Henri) can vouch for his alibi. Only for Dreyfus to open a closet and Henri's dead body to fall into his arms.
Ballon: Well, he could have confirmed it.
  • Clouseau winking at Dreyfus, causing Dreyfus's own eye to go into a wild tic.
  • Dreyfus has two hilarious Da Chief moments with Clouseau with the first ending with him angrily crossing his arms while he's holding a letter opener, causing him to meekly call out to Francois for help.
Dreyfus: Would you call for a doctor? I seem to have stabbed myself with the letter opener.
    • The second time, Dreyfus is using a cigar cutter to clip the end of a cigar. After Clouseau leaves he angrily slams it down...On his thumb, resulting in Dreyfus having to have the doctor called again, and spending the rest of the film with an oversized bandage on his re-attached thumb.
      • And both times, Dreyfus lets out his signature losing his sanity giggle while surveying the damage he's done to himself.
  • Dreyfus' villain breakdown after Ballon and the other killers are blown up. When Clouseau accurately tries to tell him they were killers, Dreyfus grabs Clouseau's lapels and angrily tells him that "Compared you you they were all ''saints."
  • Dreyfus going mad, snarling like a dog, and attacking Clouseau's leg. Hercule arrives and pries Dreyfus off Clouseau's leg. Then what happens? Dreyfus has a brief moment of calm before snarling and launching himself at Hercule's leg instead and having to be pried off.
