Fridge Logic

  • How can Gwen speak so flippantly about her alternate self's death "Fridged off a bridge", when her own fridge stuffing moment, the death of Peter Parker, supposedly affected her so greatly?
    • It was a meta comment on fridging. Plus the circumstances of 616 Gwen's death is completely different from Lizard Peter's death; 616 Gwen's death resulted in a combination of being thrown off the bridge and a nasty whiplash, while 65 Gwen was forced to fight Lizard Peter to the death. Plus Peter is more like her "Uncle Ben" than her Gwen.
    • She's irritated she died such a senseless death.
  • How is it that no one else besides Gwen and Dr. Connors knew that Peter was The Lizard? There would have had to have been an autopsy on him after he died, and there should have been traces of the serum in his blood, even if he reverted due to an antidote. Also, he started transforming after he was attacked at a school dance, so the others at the dance should be aware of his dual identity. And even as he died, the original panels in Edge Of Spider Verse showed that he still had scales on his face. Yet, as Capt. Stacy says, no one seems to know, or even care, where the Lizard went to or came from.
    • Captain America voices doubt about the connection between Peter and the Lizard, saying SHIELD ran a full test and found nothing out of the ordinary. So, either death eliminates any oddities in the bloodstream, or someone was lying about the results of the test because they had a secret agenda.
    • Since SILK is apparently a shadow organization that has access to wounded SHIELD soldiers, there might be a mole in their organization. It turns out that SILK has modified the lizard formula into that universe's goblin serum.
      • In fact, Harry Osborne was a (if not the) mole for SILK.
