Fridge Brilliance

  • The fact that no matter how many times Ame "does the deed" with P-Chan (presumably unprotected given her general lack of self-restraint and no mention of using it) she never suffers from potential negative consequences like pregnancy or even possibly STDs in a game that otherwise features realistic consequences of obsession and thoughtless pursuit of fame and acceptance makes much more sense once one discovers that P-chan is all but stated to be just part of Ame's imagination. She's more than likely just masturbating in her room.
  • P-Chan's initials are "PC". The player only interacts with Ame through the computer - P-Chan, being just a creation of Ame's imagination, is only able to interact through her PC.
  • Get Ame's affection towards you to its cap, and she will lose it, causing one of the game's early endings. Therefore, it's actually not advised to keep the affection rate too high. Why? Because Ame isn't actually hanging with a partner, but an Imaginary Friend. You're making her more subsumed in her delusional mindset by raising the affection. This is also why Ame has the same Dull Eyes of Unhappiness that normally come with high Mental Darkness when she has high Affection - being obsessive with an Imaginary Friend never does wonders for one's mental health.
  • Fridge Tear Jerker, but during the "Do you Love Me?" ending, all of KAngel's pictures with "P-Chan" were taken like selfies. You don't see another person but her in the pictures she takes. That's because there's no "significant other" she's hanging with. She's just living right inside her delusion bubble and nothing else.
  • KAngel has a yukkuri of herself in her "KAngel explains" streams. Besides looking cute, Yukkuri are tortured by humans even for just giggles in their original work. Given the theme and some of the endings of the game, and the choice becomes obvious.
  • You can't broadcast the secret Golden Ending, "Happy End World" to a live audience because it requires you to disconnect your internet in real life, which makes it so any streaming equipment/software will simply not work. The internet isn't making you, or Ame for that regard happier; it makes you (or her) more miserable, so true happiness can only be found through real-life interactions.

Fridge Horror

  • The "Labor is Evil" ending: A couple of months after Ame and P-Chan decide to quit streaming and live regular lives, the former abruptly disappears mid-text conversation, leaving P-Chan confused and wondering if she really was happy living offline. The really scary part is wondering just what happened to her in that moment — was it metaphorical, a sign that Ame is nothing without the internet’s validation, or her peculiar "Ame" persona is snuffed out by reality and only left behind a conformist "P" persona? Did she get kidnapped? Or even worse, did she commit suicide, and that last conversation with P-Chan was effectively her suicide note? Any way you look at it, it doesn’t end well for Ame.
    • The only good thing however is that P-Chan is NOT a real person, so it could easily be interpreted as Ame simply moving on altogether.
  • Why is that YOUR screen gets distorted after Ame takes a drug or starts breaking down, and the only dialogue you can choose are insane options once she breaks down full force during "internet overdose" (where the effects are similar on a greater degree)? You're playing as Ame or at least her split personality/imaginary friend.
  • In some of the inflammatory comments in the "Internet Overdose" ending, she's been called a whore. And if you raise Ame's affection and mental darkness high enough at Day 16, you can have her tell you a part of her past, and one of those awful things is her mother almost selling her out for prostitution. On top of all the doxxing and harassment, there's also the netizens hitting her Trauma Button, and these combined caused her sanity to completely shatter.
  • While it's not as focused on as much her addictive personality or her neediness, Ame obviously does not have strong financing skills. Some texts reveal she doesn't understand how a credit card works or anything about taxes, and even when she's about to be evicted she spends a lot of money on unnecessary things. In the "(Un)happy End World" ending she not only buys a new house, but KAngel's tweets show she's buying luxury items like designer handbags and toys she couldn't afford when she was younger. Combined with the fact that she grew up in poverty, meaning she never learned how to handle large amounts of money (a common issue with Rags to Riches in real life), it's likely she'll end up with some kind of legal and/or financial consequences down the road.
  • Secret.txt. indicates that even if Ame can stand on her own, that she desired a better P-chan and vows to never wake up from them next time indicates a lingering problem with affection and reality. There is no guarantee that such a problem won't rear its head again in the future.
