- When they first met, María recognized Gripina immediately as the woman that received her newborn baby. Gripina did not recognize Maria, just had a vague thought that she knew her from somewhere. It's not to be surprised: Gripina raised nandito as her son and, except for the first days, hardly ever gave a second thought to that woman that gave him away, 14 years ago. Maria, on the other side, had been fixated for all that time with what happened and searched for the woman every day. Of course that she did not forgot her face!
- When the series began, Carlota was constantly plotting with Victoria and Soraya to get "María, la del barrio" out of the house. Time passes. Victoria becomes best friends with Maria, Soraya manages to get hated by everybody and left for dead, María turns into a fine lady, and 15 years pass in timeskips. Now, Carlota y just in the gossips for the sake of it, she's no longer trying to get María out of the house... and why would she? If she did not want to have a "savage" at home, that concern became pointless when María became a lady, and 15 years is more than enough time for the initial resentment to slowly go away.

Fridge Horror:
- If we take both timeskips into account, and the 9 months of María's pregnancy, then Soraya had been under intensive care in the hospital for nearly 15 YEARS.
- In all those years when nandito was lost, Maria and Luis Fernando did not try to have new babies because, as Penélope pointed, now that María has been crazy a new baby may inherit mental problems, even if María is now sane. So, they raised the adopted Tita, eventually found Nandito... and, for the final episode, they got a new baby! But what about those potential dangers?
- Knowing him, Luis Fernando may have reacted in a completely different way to the ending. "That is not my son! That is the son of lawyer Durantes! I want a divorce!" And Here We Go Again!...
