Witches with SuperFriends
is a crossover series between The Owl House and The DCU. The story diverges from canon for the former when Luz, during the planing for what to do about the Day of Unity, has a brainstorm; if the In-Between Realm can connect her world and one as fantastical as the Boiling Isles, then perhaps it can also find one where her favorite comic book heroes are real and can come to their aid. As you can probably guess by the title, it works spectacularly.
- Crazy Enough to Work: Luz gets the idea that, if the In-Between Realm can connect to both Earth and a Giant Corpse World of witches and demons, maybe it can connect to The DCU as well, allowing Luz to get aid from the other realm's heroes.
- For Want Of A Nail: The story diverges from Owl House canon shortly before the Day of Unity, where Luz gets the idea to use the In-Between Realm to find a world where the heroes she's read about in comic books are real, and get their aid in stopping Belos.
- Not Helping Your Case: During his trial, Belos is so delusional to the fact that he's in the wrong for all of his atrocities that he outright admits to trying to wipe out the witches of the Isles, acting like Luz is delusional opposing him in this goal. Needless to say, the jury doesn't need much deliberation time to declare him guilty.
- Outside-Context Problem: Even if Belos was really aware of modern-day comic books, Luz managing to find an Earth where the characters in said comics are real and going to that world's heroes for backup was certainly something he never would have seen coming.
- Seen It All: Batman barely bats an eye when he hears that Luz is from a world where they're fictional characters.
