The Pandora Incident
is a crossover between Avatar and Warhammer 40,000. The Imperium of Man discovers Pandora, and proceed to begin their conquest of the world.
''The Pandora Incident provides examples of:
- Death from Above: When the planet's wildlife attempts to overrun the Imperial base camp, an orbital strike proves sufficient to not only annihilate the attack, but to send the survivors running for the hills with their tails between their legs.
- A Deathstrike Missile destroys the Omaticaya home tree.
- When the initial attempt to negotiate with the aliens go south, a Space Marine Assault Squad drops in to save the day.
- Foregone Conclusion: As if the Na'vi had any chance of defeating the Imperium to begin with.
- Hope Spot: Like in the movie, Eywa mobilizes the planet's wildlife against the Humans. Too bad Space Marine Terminators killed the Tree of Souls almost immediately afterwards.
- Humanity Is Advanced: The Imperium, for obvious reasons.
- Killitwith Fire: Hellhounds are deployed by the Imperial Guard.
- Oh, Crap!: The Na'vi's reaction to their first encounter with the Space Marines.
- "These were the spirits of war in physical form."
- Even after the Tree of Souls is killed, some of the Na'vi continue to resist. The Mechanicus sends in a few Titans and sends them packing.
- Roaring Rampageof Revenge: Neytiri, for her mother who was killed by an Imperial officer. Which leads to...
- Played with by Colonel Dayvis of the Cadian Shock Troops. After getting seriously injured by Tsu'Tey and then getting saved by Colonel Vek of the Armageddon Steel Legion, he proceeds to beat Tsu'Tey to death in an adrenaline-fueled frenzy.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: The Imperials compare the networked wildlife of the planet to the Tyranid Hive Mind.
- Taking You with Me: After Neytiri mortally wounds the Imperial who killed her mother, he pulls her close while simultaneously arming all his grenades.
- Tank Goodness: One of the Imperial Guard regiments deployed to Pandora is the 19th Armageddon Steel Legion. Like all Imperial Guardsmen from that world, they specialize in mechanized warfare.
- The Endofthe Worldas We Know It: For the Na'vi, the arrival of the Imperium marks the end of their culture.
