Darcy and the Phantom
is a Marvel Cinematic Universe and Danny Phantom crossover series where Darcy Lewis ends up in Amity Park thanks to Vlad, setting off a chain of events where the paths of the Avengers and Danny intersect.
Tropes:
- Boxing Lessons for Superman: In Darcy and the Ghost Zone, Natasha starts training Danny because she's taken notice of his skills being on the rougher side.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Darcy is invited to Amity by Vlad, hoping to use her connections to the Avengers to get them to ally with him against Phantom. But this allows Darcy to meet Danny, leading to a chain of events that ends with the Avengers becoming Danny's allies. Danny, Sam, and Tucker burst out laughing upon learning this.
- Unskilled, but Strong: In Darcy and the Ghost Zone, Black Widow has taken notice of how Danny's combat skills are on the rougher side despite his powers, so she's started training sessions with him.
- Weirdness Censor: Darcy notices almost immediately after seeing Danny at the Nasty Burger that he looks just like Phantom and realizes that he is Phantom right as she expresses the former sentiment. Everyone else in the restaurant besides Danny and his friends burst out laughing at the idea that Danny could be Phantom, save for Wes Weston, who gives her a look of commiseration and says that he can feel her pain as he's tried to make others see it himself.
- Worf Had the Flu: There's a strong implication that a large part of why the hit from Darcy's taser affected Danny so much, besides accidentally triggering a panic attack, was the fact that he was already on the exhausted side. Darcy even notes that she'd seen Phantom taking heavier hits than that in her short time in Amity, so she's more embarrassed than worried.
