Among Humans
is a The Owl House Alternate Universe Fic written by JustAnotherMask based off MoringMark's Witches Among Humans comic, where Luz is instead a witch of the Boiling Isles who gets trapped on Earth and lives with the enigmatic Edalyn Clawthorne.

- Adaptational Job Change:
- In the original comic the fic is based on, Lilith was a police officer. Here, she's a member of a paranormal containment division.
- In canon, Wrath was the warden for the Conformitorium. Here, he's a Truant Officer.
- Odalia is a politician rather than a weapons manufacturer.
- Adaptational Species Change: As a fic inspired by the Witches Among Humans comic, Luz is the witch while the characters originally from the Boiling Isles are humans.
- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In this fic, Amity and Willow are on better terms than they were in the show, with Willow trying to get Amity to stop pushing her away.
- Amicable Exes: Subverted. Luz thinks Amity and Willow are this, but is quickly told that they never dated to begin with.
- Could Say It, But...: After the fight with the powered human, an officer informs Luz that he’s legally obligated to arrest her for vigilantism. But unfortunately, the cops don’t have any air support on hand, so if she flew away on her staff, they probably wouldn’t catch her.
- Homeschooled Kids: Luz was never able to attend school at Hexside on the isles thanks to wild magic being outlawed and wild witches such as herself being arrested on sight.
- Role Swap AU: Luz is the witch while almost everyone else is human, with the plot taking place on Earth instead of on the Boiling Isles.
- Shout-Out: Lilith references Train Watchers and The Oregon Team in the second chapter, which the author confirms to be confirmation that Infinity Train and Gravity Falls existing in this universe.
- Trapped in Another World: Luz, like the main series, ends up as this. The big difference here is she's a witch from the Boiling Isles trapped on Earth.
