Akame is an seemingly ordinary student who just transferred to Honnouji Academy, who experiences dreams where she sees strange people that seem familiar. Once she finds a strange weapon she discovers everything she knew was a lie and she must fight to return to her home universe.
Tropes:
- Anti-Hero: Tsumugu may have saved Akame when she needed it, but when Mako is held hostage he suggests that she abandon her.
- Big Damn Heroes: Akame is cornered on the rooftop by the Disciplinary Council members, but is saved by Tsumugu.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Maiko pretends to be a helpless student during the obstacle course, as a way to steal Akame's sword, but Akame sees through the facade.
- Boxing Episode: Chapter Three features a match between Akame and Takaharu, the former ends up pulling out a sword and the latter reveals spikes under his gloves.
- Crossover Cameo: Akame is the only Akame Ga Kill character to have a major role. The rest of the Night Raid only appears in brief visions.
- Evil Gloating: Maiko gloats after she steals Akame's sword, claiming that she will overthrow Satsuki. It's completely premature as she promptly realizes she only has an empty sheath.
- Good All Along: Like in canon Satsuki is revealed to be secretly working against her mother Ragyo, this time much earlier when she offers to Akame to be her liaison to the Nudist Beach.
- I Have Your Wife: Takaharu forces Akame into a boxing match by threatening her friend Mako.
- It Works Better with Bullets: A sword equivalent happens when Maiko steals Akame's sword, only to realize she only has an empty sheath.
- Training from Hell: Takaharu beats down several prospective boxing club members as an entrance exam.
