Richard Purdum Productions was a British animation studio founded by animator Richard Purdum. The studio is best known for co-producing the first season of Mr. Bean: The Animated Series. The only episode that they domestically animated is the pilot "In the Wild", since all of the other segments were outsourced to Varga Studio in Budapest. As the studio has no credits to its name since 2003, it doesn't appear to be in operation anymore.
Shows and films worked on by Richard Purdum:
- A Dorothy L. Sayers Mystery (animated sequences)
- Fantasia 2000 (with Walt Disney Feature Animation France and Rhythm & Hues)
- Hercules (with Walt Disney Feature Animation France)
- Jane and the Lost City (title animation)
- Mr. Bean: The Animated Series (season 1 only, with Varga Studio and Sunwoo Entertainment)
- Tom Sweep
Tropes associated with Richard Purdum:
- Animation Bump: Their work for Disney of course since the Burbank unit outsourced part of the animation not just with their own units, but for the cases of Hercules and Fantasia 2000, this studio as well.
- Thick-Line Animation: The Mr. Bean cartoon.
