Raina Telgemeier (born May 26, 1977) is an American comicbook writer and artist best known for her series of Scholastic Books graphic novels, including the Eisner award-winning autobiographical Smile. Much of her work is drawn from her childhood, focusing on the difficulties of adjusting to new siblings, or dealing with her polar opposite parents' sometimes tense relationship.
