Tropes:

• An Arm and a Leg: He's missing his right hand. Once he turns into Avatar of Thanatos, he eventually regenerates it, only to have it destroyed by Player Character again.
• Body Horror: Along with plenty of Facial Horror as well, he's been corrupted into an ugly looking creature.
• Cessation of Existence: Ianna claims that after the crystal that contained the rest of Thanatos's ether body broke and took full control over him, turning him into avatar of himself, Laertes was permanently erased from existence.
• Tragic Monster: He's not really an evil guy, as he's being manipulated and possessed by Thanatos. The real Laertes is actually a good person who is horrified and greatly remorseful at the things he did under Thanatos' manipulation.

Nerion the Crown-bearing

God of Lanber, Nerion is a traitor who allied himself with the Mantides against his own people. He's been a God of Lanber for about 50 years before start of the story.

Tropes:

• Easily Forgiven: Considering that he betrayed his people and allied with Mantides, which got a lot of his people killed, slaughtered most of his family and let Mantides eat the rest in the end, It's a little jarring when Ianna offers him chance to change sides and fight for Aelion again. Granted, the Player Character and others express distrust in Nerion and Ianna makes it clear that she will constantly keep an eye on him.
  • It was most likely allowed because Nerion is one of the few Elder Gods Aelion has, and since Aelion is invaded by forces of many Greater Gods including their Avatars, continuous fighting against him would only weaken Aelion.
• Evil Sounds Deep: Has a deep and menancing voice.
• Tragic Villain: He wasn't always insane and evil as he is now, since people claim that he was a good and kind child once. His insanity started when he was murdered by his own fanatical family that wanted to see if he was an immortal or not.
