Nora
Nora is a demon in the Dark Liege army. While powerful, he has major issues with respecting higher-ups and following orders, so much so that he gets sent to "obedience training".
- Berserk Button: DON'T call Nora a "whipped dog."
- Book Dumb: As put by Kazuma, "schools in Hell must really suck"
- Idiot Hero: Nora doesn't really think during the battle, or outside it. However, he slowly gets better under Kazuma's influence.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While Nora causes trouble for Kazuma, and is generally disrespectful, he comes to care for Kazuma.
- Last of His Kind: Nora is the only Cerberus in existence.
- The Big Guy: While not physically imposing, Nora is the one who does the fighting.
Kazuma
Kazuma is a human whose familiar Nora becomes. Due to the way contract works, Nora needs Kazuma's permission to use magic - something that Kazuma does not give easily, a fact which becomes a point of contention between the two.
- Exact Words: Sometimes uses them in dealing with Nora.
- Insult of Endearment: Arguably. Kazuma has a whole list of insulting nicknames for Nora, mostly related to the fact that Nora is a Cerberus: cur, worthless cur, stray dog...
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Condescending to Nora, but clearly cares about Nora's well-being.
- The Smart Guy: While not a pushover in a physical fight, he is inferior to Nora and unable to use magic of his own. Which means that typically Nora is the one who fights while Kazuma makes strategies and gives orders. Until he gains the ability to use magic of his own, along with a rather cool sword. From that point on, he fights alongside Nora.
