Beastfolk

General characteristics

• Little Bit Beastly: Most Beastfolk just have animal ears and a tail.

Kitsch

• Action Girl: As the player character in an action-adventure title, naturally she is this.
• The Apprentice: Has trained under the Chief all her life to succeed him as guardian of the Beastfolk.
• Badass Normal: She has been raised to be this by the Chief. Though later, she gains access to magic attacks.
• Big Eater: In the dream flashback when the game begins, one still image shows Chief holding his head in exasperation while Kitsch shoves food into her piehole.
• Fox Folk: A Little Bit Beastly individual with pointy ears and a bushy tail.
• Hyperactive Metabolism: A single apple restores an entire health bar. Acorns refill about a third.
• Idle Animation: Obviously inhales and exhales while standing still. The animation cycles at a breakneck pace right after she stops running, but slows down as she catches her breath.
• Super Drowning Skills: Downplayed. While Kitsch immediately sinks in water too deep to wade through, she respawns after a few seconds right where she left the shore with little to no health lost.
• Tomboy: As pointed out by her friend Robin:
  Kitsch: I had the neatest dream of us when we were little!
  Robin: When we were little, huh? I remember you were even a tomboy back then, and strong too, Kitsch.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Bristles at Robin's choice of descriptors.
  Kitsch: Robin, telling a girl she's "the biggest, toughest, and roughest" isn't exactly a compliment, y'know!

Robin

• Wingding Eyes: In one scene in Kitsch's dream, she sees a memory of a practice fight against Barrel and Robin. Robin was defeated so handily that he has X eyes.
