    Dar'taqto
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bs5c_npc_dartaqto.png

Voiced by: Tren "Trendane" Sparks

A cat burglar and hunter living in Bruma. He usually hunts his own pelts and sells them on for a profit to Fadel and Cedus Perusius.

His dealings with Cedus will land him in trouble with the law; if you manage to get his charges dropped, he will agree to follow you.

  • 20 Bear Asses: Almost literally. He offers a miscellaneous quest to bring him 10 bear pelts in exchange for some gold.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: He has the Fists of Steel perk, which combined with his Khajiit claws makes giving him heavy gauntlets in lieu of a weapon a somewhat viable option.
  • Clear Their Name: He's recently been accused of stealing furs from the Ice-Wind Traders to sell at his stall. Dar'taqto insists that the accusations are false, and if you can get Captain Vilius to drop the charges he will gladly join you on your adventures.
  • Dual Wielding: He starts off with a pair of steel waraxes, as well as two ranks of the Dual Flurry perk to make his dual-wielding attacks faster.
  • Forced from Their Home: The compromise that Captain Aldius comes to. Since he doesn't have enough evidence to convict Dar'taqto of anything but can't let him get off scot-free, he tells Dar'taqto that he cannot remain living in Bruma. This is part of why he's so happy to travel with the player at that point; he doesn't really have anywhere else to go.
  • Insistent Terminology: He's a "cat burglar," not a thief.
  • Karmic Thief: How he sees himself. He's a thief, but he only robs those he feels deserve to be stolen from. He also has shades of Just Like Robin Hood as he's stated to sell the things he steals at a steep discount to people who need them.
Dar'taqto: Regardless of this one's past — or his future — he has not stolen from the merchant. He does not steal from hard-working business owners. He steals from the pampered, the opulent and the unjust.
  • Pun: He's a Cat Folk who refers to himself as a cat burglar.
  • Third-Person Person: Like most Khajiit. Though he's lived in Cyrodiil long enough that his khajiiti dialect slips occasionally and he refers to himself in the first person.

    Dumrag gro-Morrg

Voiced by: Tren "Trendane" Sparks

An Orc mercenary drowning his sorrows in the Restful Watchman tavern in Bruma after his wife Atul was abducted during a botched job.

If the player completes his quest to find out what happened to his wife, he can offer to join you on your adventures.

  • Death Seeker: If the player allows him to kill Simund and Atul, he will flee in despair. You may later come across him in the wilderness, where he will beg the player to kill him.
  • Optional Party Member: There are three ways to bring his sidequest to a conclusion, only one of which ends with Dumrag being available as a follower.
