Another arc, another amazing soundtrack for the Trails Series.

Trails through Daybreak I

  • "Namonaki Akumu No Hate", the opening theme, is a rocking song that does a good job of setting the stage for the start of the new arc. Its instrumental version, "The Decisive Point," does a good job of making Risette's flashy introduction to the party all the better. Also, a looped version of the opening is played during the second phase of the Vagrants-Zion final battle, as the party finally free Van from his Devil half's grasp to aid them in subjugating it. Finally, the Super Ultimate album includes an equally awesome new arrangement sung by Tatsuhiko Yoshida of Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger fame.
  • "Welcome to Montmart," the theme of the titular bistro, gives off a cozy and comfortable vibe, fitting for our hero to come home to.
  • "First Skirmish," the field battle theme, harkens back to the days of Sky, where you wiped out weak monsters to a fun and light-hearted tune. And if you want something just a bit more on the more "action-y" side, the variation used for command battles, "Open the Shard!", ought to fill that thirst quite well.
  • "What Is Ahead of You", a piece that many attribute to Elaine,note  has a somber yet hopeful feel that perfectly captures the mood of the arc's first game. Kuro II would later use the main melody to create "Line of Non-Negotiable," a guitar-heavy piece that serves as great accompaniment for fighting the game's major bosses. And to top it off, the Super Ultimate album would then make a vocal arrangement serving as Elaine’s Image Song, "Knights of Asteria," which perfectly captures the titular Bracer's conviction.
  • "Rise of the Grendel", the theme for the titular Henshin Hero, has a nice, steady beginning to the more energetic main part, symbolizing the dramatic build-up to Van about to lay a righteous beatdown on the Monster of the Week. And as if that weren't enough, the Super Ultimate album gives it one rocking remix.
  • "I'm Grimcats!", the theme of everyone's favorite clumsy Phantom Thief, is a delightful little bop while you defend yourself from this brash lady until she realizes that it's Not What It Looks Like. It would later get a fun vocal arrangement in the Super Ultimate album called "Grimcats the Phantom Thief."
  • "Scorching Impact" has some nice guitar beats that serve as a great accompaniment to lay the smackdown on human opponents.
  • "Hard Desperation", in a similar vein to "Exceed!" before it, has a truly foreboding build-up to the fast-paced guitar, which does it wonders in making it the theme to bash various bosses to.
  • "Get Rid of the Urgent Menace" does a marvelous job of hyping up the atmosphere as your team makes the trek up the hotel full of mind-controlled staff.
  • There's a distinctly ethereal beauty to "Silver Sword Saint," as well as its vocal arrangement from the Super Ultimate album, "Void, Sky and Those Who Live in Between," fitting for the mysterious Shizuna.
  • "Marginal Crisis" complements its guitar riffs with some violin sections, all in service of depicting the scene of the Solutions Office fighting their way through the labyrinth with their accomplices of choice.
  • "Satisfied Madness", as the name implies, is a crazy awesome track that'll leave you satisfied as you take down the game's big bosses.
  • "The Realm of Death and Play", with its bombastic choir and orchestra, gets the player pumped up to make the journey to face Gerard.
  • "Make a Breakthrough!" is one of the best pieces the soundtrack has to offer, with its magnificent orchestra painting a wonderful mental image of the Solutions Office stepping up to the plate to rescue Van from the Final Boss.
  • "Resonance of Ray", the theme of the final dungeon, starts off quiet but picks up the pace soon enough, and it will only continue to ascend to even greater heights as you scale Genesis Tower to settle the score with Almata once and for all.
  • "Unmitigated Evil", the theme of Demon God Gerard, marks yet another masterpiece from composer Yukihiro Jindo and guitarist Masaru Teramae. The epic guitar combined with fantastic orchestral bits set the stage for you and the game's heroes to finally put an end to the mafia don drunk on demonic power.
  • "Kuro -Beyond the Dawn-" plays in the credits roll of the game, as a perfect tune to end off an amazing start to a new arc, and subsequently to a new beginning for Trails and the second half of the Zemurian tale.
