Awesome Music / Royal Robbie

Royal is primarily a gaming content creator, but he's also a decently experienced composer, and it shows.

    Friday Night Funkin' Music
  • "ENGAGED", a fan-made song for The Tricky Mod, features a very bouncy tone, albeit with dangerous edges. Fitting for the eponymous clown prior to becoming an undead juggernaut; somewhat silly, but still a definite threat. The video's audio quality is lacking, but fortunately it was uploaded to Bandcamp with better quality.
  • VS Royal is a full soundtrack for an indefinitely delayed mod featuring Robbie's own persona (at least at the time). It features four songs; "Anxiety", "Resolved", "Assured", and "Hungarian Dance", all of which are energetic.
  • Royal started doing a series of conceptual fansongs called "Maybe-Somedays":
    • "Sing Not", a song based around Manah from Drakengard. The vocals are placeholder, but the actual song is full featured and combines a mischievous feel and an ominous tone to create a fittingly bizarre tune, and even includes a musical cameo by "Thirteenth Chapter - Closing", the original game's true final boss theme.
    • "Cometdance" is also a Drakengard fansong, this time based around Caim. It features incredibly gravelly vocals for the mad swordsman, and is somewhat reflective of the original game's chaotic music, carrying a very violent tone backed by a frantic orchestral instrumental.
  • "Abyss", a fansong for Iron Lung, features an ominous, droning instrumental, sound effects from the original game, and even a verse from the game's sea monster... as well as a reenactment of the game's Downer Ending.
  • "Traitor" is a crossover song with Mandela Catalogue, portraying a bout between Girlfriend and Gabriel, aka Satan, and it's every bit as energetic and imposing as the setup would imply.
  • While only a cover, a nod needs to be given to "Traitor"'s sequel, "Gift Except Boyfriend and Girlfriend Sing It", for making good use of Boyfriend and Girlfriend's vocals, as well as managing to slide in an edited version of Mark's "YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" voice clip, pitched up to sound more like Boyfriend.

     Everything Else
  • A page about his music would be genuinely incomplete without mentioning Replay Vol. 1, the music created for his (sadly cancelled) narration of Godzilla: Replay. Boasting a whopping 24 songs, it was likely a huge factor in the popularity of the narration in the first place, and for damn good reason.
  • "A Rose By Any Other Name", made during Royal's time going by Rose, is an incredibly upbeat and energetic tune making ample use of various synth instruments and is probably one of his most fully featured offerings to date. It's a genuinely impressive song, and as a commentor puts it, it sounds like a boss theme.
