Awesome Music / Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Go To

Given that each Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony features several performances, it's almost guaranteed that they're going to be awesome.

  • Bruce Springsteen's set from the 25th anniversary concert was a classic rock and soul extravaganza. How better to kick it off than with Sam Moore (of Sam and Dave) and a gospel choir? Even more awesome: Moore was about 75 at the time of the concert, and he still sounds fantastic.
  • "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" from the 2004 ceremony, especially the final guitar solo by Prince, who finished by throwing his guitar in the air; it seemingly never came back down.note
  • From 2009's induction, the final musical act was Metallica, with former member Jason Newsted, along with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Flea, Joe Perry and Ronnie Wood performing Train Kept a Rollin'. Seeing and playing with so many rock legends on stage had even Metallica's Kirk Hammett smiling almost nonstop. James Hetfield's opening line that all he had to do was play rhythm was pure fanboy, as well.
