A cart full of friends, a dragon hot on your tail, and your horse dead? Do it yourself!

An excitable heroic gamer is thrust into a fantasy setting with the body of his overpowered skeleton knight avatar and sets off on a daring adventure full of action, laughs, and excitement.

Anime

  • First of all, the opening; Ah, My Romantic Road / 嗚呼、我が浪漫の道よ is a heartpounding heavy metal score with epic guitar riffs accompanying exciting visuals of the main character Arc fighting all sorts of foes. Between saving a little girl from an orc, facing off a plethora of monsters, and pulling his cart himself whilst running away from a dragon after his horse bites it, chances are you'll be laughing just as maniacally as he does during the opening. And if that wasn't amazing enough, PelleK himself was hired to sing the official Japanese intro.

  • Episode 1: Arc's Establishing Character Moment is certainly up there amongst the more heroic OP main characters. After a couple of young women have their carriage attacked by bandits and are on the verge of being raped, our hero teleports in out of thin air and cleaves them in two with a single swing of his sword, all while casually introducing himself to both innocents and criminals. And once we've caught up to this moment, the other bandits flee in terror... or they wish they could've; Arc's single Wyvern Slash virtually atomizes them from existence.
  • Episode 2: After cautiously determining the basilisk's moves and protecting Marcia, Arc ends things in an instant with Judgment, cleaving the beast in half with a giant spray of blood. Comparatively, a small army was needed to take down the other one, and they took heavy casualties in the process - their commander notes that to kill such a beast in one hit, alone, is the work of either a god or the devil.
  • Episode 3: After stepping in, Arc promptly lariats Udolan, sending him straight into a tree. Not only was he knocked unconscious, but it caused enough damage to his arm that it needed to be put in a cast later.
    • This is actually toned down from the light novel, where Arc punched Udolan in the back hard enough to break his spine, and he was holding back at the time.
  • Episode 5: The moment Lord Tryton approaches her, Ariane viciously kicks him in the groin, and ensures that the two elves they've come to rescue get their chance for payback before they leave.
    • As the injured Udolan attempts to escape, he runs straight into Arc. From his terrified fainting, it's clear the young man remembers Arc quiet clearly.
  • Episode 7: Ariane's excellent use of both speed and magical ability while fighting against the Haunted Wolves. Something Arc is humble enough to both recognize and praise.
Arc: Very impressive, the way she dances around the battlefield is a reminder that strength can only take you so far. Raw power is useful, but it shows its weakness when attacked from multiple directions.
    • After being freed from the mind controlling collar, the wolves helping Arc fight off Princess Yuriarna's would-be assassins.
  • Episode 8: After Arc and company rescued the surviving beastmen and saw the bodies of the sick and injured that could not be sold, Arc was furious and returned to Goemon's side. Together, no longer holding back, their combined attacks reduce the slavers market to a smoking crater that leaves no survivors.
