Trailers

  • Neenah's driving in the CG trailer is quite impressive, seeing as she manages to drive backward across three rooftops and still keep the car intact. Little wonder why she's the crew's Badass Driver.
  • Can't forget about The Boss' Badass Boast toward the Pantero who tried to mess with their friends, either -
Boss: Get the fuck away from my friends!
  • The customization showcase has plenty to show. Notably:
    • You can now customize your Boss at any given time through your phone!
    • Aircraft and watercraft customization. A first in the series.
    • Improved car customization!
    • Proper weapon customization not seen since 2019's Modern Warfare or even Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
    • Deeper character customization that rivals if not surpasses that of Saints Row 2's.
    • Speaking of which, Crib Customization makes a return from SR2.
    • It's a subtle one, but there's now a color wheel across all forms of customization, should you be unsatisfied with the game's default color options.

Story

  • The first mission has the Boss simply refusing the Nahualli to escape even though they are outmatched and even Gwen suggested letting him go for the moment. After crashing the VTOL the Nahualli hijacked by attaching a tank to it and shooting it until it goes down, the Boss is still impeding the Nahualli enough that the Marshall soldiers can surround him.
  • In order to get recruits Kev suggests having the Boss enter Boot Hill, a livestreamed Deadly Game. Even the roommates are surprised by the Boss slaughtering everyone and Eli gets multiple notifications on his phone for prospect. And gets a bit disturbed because this person lives with them.
Neenah: So that's what "being good at murder" means...
Kev: I know... seeing it on the leaderboard really put things into perspective.
Eli: Should we be terrified or comforted?
    Neenah:...Both?
  • In "Severance Package", the Boss finds a problem where murder is NOT the best solution... so they instead solve it through a combination of corporate sabotage and massive property damage. In order to reclaim ownership of the Saints from Marshall, they work with Myra Starr to hijack a tank (which investors believe is AI-controlled) and go on a rampage, ruining Marshall's reputation. Atticus is then fired from the company, and you get to choose whether to shoot him dead, or leave him alive but humiliated, stripped of everything he's earned.
