Awesome / Database Ranger's Power Reviews

Go To

  • Throughout the series, Database Ranger makes mentions of becoming an author and having written a book on overanalyzing children's television shows. No traction is made, however, until the Spring 2013 finale, when he finally lands a publisher!
  • The ending to the In Space episode review, Silence Is Golden. Enough said.
    • ... Until Guy revealed later that was the Human Resources department. Still funny.
  • At the end of the review of "The Ultimate Duel", Database manages to get out of his drug-induced stupor to explain how Samurai fails in detail, going over how blindly translating Shinkenger was a stupid idea being the highlight.
  • Jacob doing quick summaries of all twenty seasons of Power Rangers to mark the anniversary of the show over August 2013.
  • This show has better fight scenes at times (Database Vs the Alphabet Soup HR Team, Database and Guy vs the T Agents) then the actual Power Rangers episodes.
  • In episode 49's review of Megaforce "The Human Condition", DB calls out Tensou and Gosei for not knowing the name of the supposedly primary villain.
DB: [...] And I'm sure the rangers would have appreciated more info before being hammered to the ground with a meteor shower.
Gosei: Rangers! Malkor's the aliens' commander!
Robbie Hart: Things that could've been brought to my attention YESTERDAY!
DB: Actually, no. Forget yesterday. This should have been brought to their attention 17 episodes ago! Maybe then they wouldn't have run into battle thinking, 'Oh, this is just an insectoid; we knocked those around back at the beginning of the season. We totally don't need to go into this fight already in ultra mode like we did with the mutants and robots.' And maybe then Gosei and Tensou wouldn't have to spend time changing the frequency of the morphers to bypass the invisible blocking ray, and then not have to worry about Malkor running off via reverse-shot from an obviously different location and... and laying waste to the city by disintegrating countless buildings and instantly vaporizing the undoubtedly hundreds of innocent civilians inside! This is the kind of thing you'd like to prepare yourself for!
    • DB comments at the end after Robo Knight asks if the Earth was protected:
DB: Nope! Everything was completely destroyed! Shame you missed it.
  • Jacob playing his entire cast in the Year 2 opening, and getting their various habits down pat.
  • K, despite being shocked at Venjix's return, managing to slip away and make him think she's dead in the "In the Driver's Seat" review.
  • In Episode 98:
    • Darkonda reveals that the Phantom Ranger was singehandedly responsible for ending not one, but two of his lives.
    • The proper debut, and full reveal, of the Phantom Megazord-as well as the fight with Darkonda.
