Harsher in Hindsight: The Phantom Ranger getting trapped in the rift by Dark Specter, and many of their interactions throughout the series, gain a new dimension with the events of the comic series Power Rangers Universe.
He Really Can Act: Jacob and MJ get plenty of chances to blow viewers away with their acting skills.
Nightmare Fuel: The Landlord, a Shadow Archetype of Database who is eerily calm, very refined, and appears to be a Reality Warper. When he starts telling the story of Database Ranger's life, the latter slowly turns into a washed out hermit. The Landlord takes over the next episode, reviewing Rangers in Reverse, best known as the episode where the Rangers completely lose. Jacob has been basically banned from doing his voice around the house because it is "too disturbing."
Made even more terrifying by the fact that the Landlord is Dark Specter. And as the comics reveal, he has experience with breaking the Phantom Ranger...
Special Effect Failure: While most of the effects in the show look fine, one glaring thing cannot be unnoticed: the band-aid MJ wears to hide the piercing near to their right eye when they play Dr. K becomes easier and easier to see as the series progresses and the camera quality increases. You can actually see it being slightly detached from their face early in episode 81!
Visual Effects of Awesome: Database and Guy's fight against the Alphabet Soup agents. Why? Because as Jacob revealed on Rangerboard, both were played by the same guy, showing some insane skills with special effects, for a no-budget one man web series.
In general, the effects are astonishing through the series. The Phantom Ranger helmet? Purely computer generated until Jake finally got the full costume prior to the release of episode 85.
Taken up a notch with Episode 98, which has a lot of impressive visual effects-especially the reveal of the Phantom Megazord. (In real-life, its fabrication apparently caused a 3D Printer to explode.)
