** Harman and Kun Lan: Opposites? Opponents? Or just two side of the same coin?

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The soundtrack covers a wide variety of genres, and ranges from creepy and atmospheric to just plain awesome and catchy.

* GameBreaker: The [=PC=] version has mouse aim, which, in a game balanced for a controller, can tear the difficulty a new one.

* CreepyCute: Susie Sumner is a cute girl..who killed millions before she died and came back as a severed head. Also, her dialogue is recored with a text to speech program.

** Emir Parkreiner: We never given a look into his personality and inner thoughts, the manual refers to him as psychotic in some way. But given Garcian's reactions to his actions, one has to wonder whether he regrets some of his actions and sees himself as a monster because of them. At one point, Kun Lan tells a story about a high school football player who snapped after being subjected to sexual abuse by his mother; one fan theory is that he's actually talking about Emir.
** How much of Killer 7's personalities are their actual personalities and not just Emir's view of them? Notably, their death scenes, seems to imply that their personlities are somewhat different from the ones they have throughout the game. It's hard to tell with some of them since a lot of them don't get any proper focus in the game.

Tasked with taking out the Smiths, Emir managed to easily [[GeniusBruiser outwit and murder]] all six members at the Union Hotel, before feeling guilty and committing suicide on the rooftop. Reincarnated as Garcian Smith thanks to Harman, Garcian becomes the Syndicate's cleaner, able to outwit, outmatch, and kill his opponents with ease. Breaking his connection with Harman after traumatically discovering his past as Emir, Garcian is still able to accept what happened and does whatever he can to take down the Last Shot Smile, [[WellIntentionedExtremist even if it means the destruction of America or Japan]].
** "Cloudman": [[ArcVillain Andrei Ulmeyda]] is an eccentric, [[AffablyEvil affable]] cult leader and president of the successful First Life Inc. A former postman who achieved fame by selling out his city to the Heaven Smiles in exchange for a portion of the Yakumo, Ulmeyda established a following built around himself. With First Life serving as a commercial-running front for his operations, Ulmeyda has also infected himself with countless diseases to [[TheImmune make himself immune]], selling his immunized blood as a vaccine. But when he acquired the Heaven Smiles disease, knowing that he'll soon turn into a monster, Ulmedya summons the Smiths to [[ThanatosGambit execute him when he eventually transforms]], taking credit for a Stacy concert bombing to get their attention. Ulmeyda ultimately dies a satisfied man, his spirit leaving behind encouraging advice to his follower Clements.
** "Alter Ego": [[TheManBehindTheMan Handsome Pink]], real name Love Wilcox, is the true leader of the Handsome Men. An avid gamer/hacker working for PR agency Electro and Line Inc. tasked to use media to create propaganda, Love plans out the Handsome Men's assassinations with the help of comic book artist Trevor Pearlharbor in order to push sales of Handsome Men products, while using Handsome Red as TheFace of the team. Upon Pearlharbor's assassination ordered by Electro and Line, Love [[KnowWhenToFoldEm forfeits her duel with Garcian Smith]] to tell him about her plan to get even with the agency, letting him know that it was a pleasure meeting him before departing.

* UncannyValley: The boss of Angel, who has a stereotypical big-eyes-small-mouth anime face in a game where everyone is rendered more realistically (this is even before you blow her wings off and she starts [[ItMakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext crying blood while four Kun Lan faces grow out of her back.]])

* CrazyAwesome: Large swaths of the cast.

* EnjoyTheStorySkipTheGame: Critical attention for the game mostly focused on its [[MindScrew bizarre plot and characters]] and distinctive presentation. The minimalist gameplay was mostly considered little more than a bridge between story segments. (It has its fans too, though, especially among killer7's biggest fans who love all its parts, and it's deliberately designed to [[GameplayAndStoryIntegration synergize with the story]]).

* TakeThatScrappy: For those who despise Iwazaru, don't worry. [[spoiler:The Post Final Boss either is Iwazaru or someone taking on his appearance, and all he does is run away before standing around, waiting to be shot five times]].

* CompleteMonster: [[WouldHurtAChild Curtis Blackburn's]] first appearance is a cutscene in which he kills a prostitute in his car before walking into an office and killing every person in it for no apparent reason. Then you find out he killed one of the player characters and controls the female half of the black market for orphans (who are used for organ harvesting). Next, Curtis gets revenge on his partner (who controlled the male half) for cutting into his orphans... by raping and killing his wife in front of their son, killing his children, and showing him his daughter's severed head before killing him. A pedophile with a fetish for anime loli, he harvests organs for the US government from little orphan girls he molests by using a giant car-wash abattoir hybrid, that rids the body of all organs, cleanses it and closes it up, then leaves just a shell of the dead body. After the boss fight in the room outside you can see naked little girl hollowed out dead bodies. The man is so vile that his ''public'' face is a child organ trafficker.
