** Oh, yes. The ending theme and opening theme crank this UpToEleven.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The initial story about the Kämpferinnen is actually a rather interesting story and it presents a lot of moral issues in-universe for some characters, such as how the whole conflict take the life of Shizuku's friend, or how Akane can't really control what happens when she does transform due to it basically being another personality. However, the series (especially the anime) just sorta abandons any real impact of that in favor of a Ecchi SliceOfLife comedy, and when it does give some focus to the actual ''Kämpfer'' storyline, it quickly reverts back to the comedy romance without addressing the more dark and complex aspects it bring sup. Its one of the major reasons the series is so disliked.

* AntiClimaxBoss: For as much as they're made a big deal of [[spoiler: the White Kämpfer tend to go down pretty easily.]]
** Even worse is after TheReveal that [[spoiler:Sakura]] is actually the BigBad, the [[spoiler:White Kämpferinnen]] still are easily beaten, with [[spoiler: Sakura]] being hardly a thread in the finale.

The final few episodes where Sakura starts to genuinely brainwash him can make a valid case of the later.

*** Shizuku's and Akane's could be construed as lesbian love songs. [[SchoolgirlLesbians Kaede's WAS a lesbian love song]].

Odd considering the manga is about [[GenderBender gender bending]], and the Serbs are among the staunchest of [[HeterornativeCrusader conservatives]].

* SnarkBait: ''Natsuru's stupidity'' made this series as painful as getting teeth pulled without anesthesia. Even so, [[SoBadItsGood that didn't stop many of us from watching it each and every week]], did it?
** Also, the fact that the ''entire plot'' is one big ClingyJealousGirl fight (with the occasional ManipulativeBastard Shizuku moment) got about as predictable as the morning sun. Hell, even the ''minor characters'' are only interested in getting Natsuru naked.
