His brother, Prince Khufurah, on the other hand, is more street-wise and something of a layabout: charismatic, highly intelligent, and a gifted diplomat, but [[TheHedonist given to enjoying the pleasures of life rather than the responsibilities of his position]]; this gives him a reputation as a wastrel.

** It's a small one, but at one point Carrot remarks that Vimes is always asking who on earth hired Nobby to be a watchmen. Come Literature/NightWatchDiscworld and we see that the very person who inspired Nobby to join the Watch is Vimes himself.

This seems to imply "Klatchians are human and sane, just like us, and sane humans would ''never'' eat a sheep's eyeball". In real life, that second part just ''is not true''.

* TheWoobie: Poor Captain Jenkins, whose ship Vimes commandeers and then proceeds to basically smash to smithereens, on account of the fact that Vimes knows absolutely nothing about sailing. Jenkins was planning on selling weapons to the Klatchians, but still...
