When Jericho tried to move into the main event, however, his attempts were blocked by the bookers; a planned feud with Wrestling/{{Goldberg}} was aborted, and Jericho realized he'd never make it to the main event in the company. Cue Cassidy coming into the ring, listening to a little more of Jericho's remarks, not saying a word, and then slowly raising his fist into a thumbs-down gesture. Followed by the Inner Circle being drenched in orange juice dropped from the rafters. To add further humiliation, he asked for a towel to wipe himself off, not finding out until several seconds later that it was an Orange Cassidy towel.

* MeanCharacterNiceActor: This is invoked in his third book ''The Best In The World: At What I Have No Idea''. During the buildup to ''[=WrestleMania=] 25'' where Jericho was originally supposed to wrestle Creator/MickeyRourke, Jericho had a segment with Mickey on ''Larry King Live'' where he deliberately heeled it up to seriously piss off Rourke. Later on, when Rourke appeared backstage, he brought along three bodyguards to beat the crap out of Jericho if he tried anything... at which point, Jericho explained to Rourke that he was only acting out the part of an asshole heel to anger him and afterwards, Rourke finally cooled off and realized Chris had out-acted him in that regard.

** And one of the weirdest parts of his late-2010 program with Wrestling/{{MJF}}, which culminated in MJF defeating him for a place in the Wrestling/InnerCircle, was ''"Le Dinner Debonair"'', which ended up being a song-and-dance routine that has to be seen to be believed.

** What started as a feud over who was the best in the world, turned in to this when Jericho revealed to the world that Punk's father and sister were addicts, alcoholic and drugs respectively. Wrestling/CMPunk was [[ClusterFBomb not pleased.]]

Rourke, who had a legitimate 6-0-2 record in boxing, knocked out Jericho with one punch after the match.
