ZombieApocalypse. You know the drill, you've seen it frequently, from every possible perspective: the point of view of the military unit tasked with eliminating the zombies, the point of view of the terrified civilians struggling to survive, the point of view of the lone badass hero fighting off the living dead by himself. But has anyone shown how would a group of nerds react to the rise of the living dead?

The webseries Skypocalypse was born from an idea of Karim Musa (better known as {{WebVideo/Yotobi}}) and the work of fellow Italian youtubers Mattia Ferrari and Mattia Pozzoli, respectively known on Youtube as [[https://www.youtube.com/user/victorlaszlo88 Victorlaszlo88]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/user/Matioski Matioski]].
The premise is as it sounds: a ZombieApocalypse, caused by an unknown [[TheVirus virus]], breaks out, and the protagonists, a group of nerdy friends, gather on a Skype group called "Skypocalypse" to look for survivors.

Or, at least, that was the idea. Unluckily, our three protagonists - Radar (who is a hardcore movie and comics fan), Ghost (who is a videogame nerd) and White Dragon (the [[LovableSexManiac pornomaniac]] of the group) are everything but heroes, and at first are too scared to even set foot outside of their houses. But as they meet other survivors, they start to realize that things are much more complex that they look like, and there may be obscure interests behind TheVirus.

The series started in 2011 and currently has two seasons, the first featuring sixteen episodes, and the first episode of the second having come out on 10 June 2013. Having started as an amateur series, both the special effects and the recitation weren't exactly top-notch in the beginning (outdoor scenes aren't featured at all in season 1), but there has been a quality improvement with Season 2.

Sadly, after the second episode of Season 2, the series was CutShort due to production issues. It has since then spawned a "sequel" called Webseries Are Dead, which is based on a fictional "future" of the authors of the series themselves, who gather once again after losing all contacts for two years after they receive a mail from a mysterious fan...
