* BonusBoss: There are quite a few. The most difficult of them being Blood Eater.
** Ponga's is the nuclear-powered Warmech 0-C00. Naturally, it's a case of RockBeatsLaser if you beat it.
** Hong Meiling's is Flandre Scarlet, though she comes off as a PuzzleBoss more than anything. You also need the [[spoiler:Happiness Charm equipped on Kasen Ibara]] to even survive her first attack so you can start fighting her proper.
** Youmu Konpaku's is Zigma, a weird frog... [[BuffySpeak thing]] that appears in the lake, and the spirit of [[spoiler:[[OldMaster Youki Konpaku]]]], who guards the cursed sword Murasame and fights Youmu to test her.
** Mokou's is the Forgotten Chimera, which can be fought if the rabbit puzzle is solved and the hidden mansion in the bamboo forest is found. There's also Prototype Vlad, fought if you enter the 4 digit password and insert the right card in it's room.
** [[spoiler: Mima's chapter has [[ZeroEffortBoss The Minister]]]].
** The final chapter has a bunch:
*** [[spoiler: Cirno's Dungeon is accessed simply by having Cirno in you party. It has the Three Fairies of Light and [[EvilTwin Burning Runo]]]].
*** [[spoiler: Fox's Dungeon is accessed simply by finding the spirit of Yukari. It has Anesthasia, who is fought if the seventh bell is ringing]].
*** [[spoiler: Mokou's Dungeon is accessed by finding the house in the forest. It has the BonusBoss [[EnemyWithout Mokou Fujinoir]]]].
*** [[spoiler: Shang's Dungeon can be accessed in the bamboo forest while Shang is in your party. It has the BonusBoss [[TheCameo Behemoth]], only fought after you have Shang's Omoikane]].
*** [[spoiler: Hong Meiling's Dungeon Can be accessed at the Darkwing Bandit's Hideout. It has the BonusBoss [[AbhorrentAdmirer Happy Smile]]]].
*** [[spoiler: Youmu Konpaku's Dungeon is found in the prison's secret door. It has the BonusBoss Omega, fought after completing the dungeon.]]
*** [[spoiler: Yagokoro Daioh can be fought if enough is donated to the Moriya Shrine]].
*** [[spoiler: The Wizard is found randomly by not correcting the glitch in the terminal at the North Village]].
*** [[spoiler: Odio is found by trying to exit the final boss room]].
*** [[spoiler: The Minister[=/=]Gap Beast is fought at the end of the Gap Dungeon, which can be found at the Throne Room in Mahogiyo Castle after unlocking the gate at the Tower Of Demon]].

** Two of the [[BonusBoss Bonus Bosses]] are [[spoiler:[[Franchise/FinalFantasy a War Mech]]]] and [[spoiler:[[{{VideoGame/MOTHER3}} the Ultimate Chimera (Orin Edition)]]]].

** One particular example is the Upsilon in later stages, with its Circle Move. Upon hitting the player, they will be removed from the battlefield and considered dead for the rest of the battle. Particularly annoying since there's no way to defend against it. It's even more annoying in the hands of BonusBoss cousin, [[Characters/FinalFantasyRecurringMonsters Omega]].

* GratuitousRape: It’s never stated outright that what the soldiers do to [[spoiler:Yuka]] is rape, but it still counts because there is very little else that could have happened.
