At one point, she has ImplausibleDeniability denying she was just cooking potatoes with some still left on her face. It turns out all this cooking in secret has made Eliza a SupremeChef.

* Ferris Eris of ''LightNovel/TheLegendOfTheLegendaryHeroes'' really loves dango (a type of Japanese dumpling). She asks for them as payment from Sion to help track down the person trying to kill him, and later (earlier from the audience's perspective since that happened in a flashback) refers to him as a "devil" for not paying up.

** In the prequel novel ''LightNovel/AnotherNote'', Beyond Birthday ''loves'' strawberry jam. So much that he eats it out of the jar...with his hands. He also appears to be fond of coffee.

This is made story and character-relevant to the point the WWW uses it to lure him into a trap in an early episode where they were attempting to gain the ultimate curry Recipe and needed his help to do it...and Succeeded. However this is an odd case, as despite many episodes gushing over his adoration for the foodstuff...due to characterization conflicts caused by differing writers on the staff, there are episodes where Lan/Netto is depicted as actually HATING Curry and anything Curry-adjacent, and his pursuit of any other foodstuff causing their plots to then roll Idiot balls. Unsurprisingly, the writers culpable for this baffling character derailment are also the ones responsible for putting in people's heads the Idea that He's an [[IdiotHero Idiot Hero]] despite Lan/Netto spending a fair chunk of the series being the deadpan Straight-man towards the insanity around him.

** Naruto loves [[MundaneLuxury ramen]] in all of its many, varied and wonderful forms and one of the main foods he eats. [[FridgeBrilliance Part of this love may stem from]] [[BecauseYouWereNiceToMe the fact that Ichiraku's Teuchi and Ayame were the first to show him kindness and provide him the feeling of a home.]] This was confirmed in ''[[LightNovel/KonohaHidenThePerfectDayForAWedding Konoha Hiden]]''.

The first light novel takes further, she and Tsuyu and Momo try to buy as much mochi as they can get.

* Bob Poundmax in ''VideoGame/{{Gungrave}}'' loves fried chicken drumsticks. It's very rare for him to be seen without a chicken drumstick in his hand. Although he doesn't so much as ''chew'' the drumsticks as he just ''[[JabbaTableManners inhales them by the bucketful]]''.

** In one episode of the anime, Pikachu [[LostFoodGrievance was crushed when a Scyther slashed apart a bottle of ketchup that he was eating out of]]. It was subtly shown again, early in the Hoenn saga. In a small throwaway scene Pikachu can be seen holding a bottle of ketchup ''again'', and this time it looked like he was sucking at the contents ''with a straw''. His love for ketchup hasn't been forgotten in the Kalos saga. The second main ending in ''[=XY&Z=]'' even has a Pikachu song that is literally called ''Pikachu no Uta'' and it features giant bottles of ketchup.

* Inverted with Fai in ''Manga/TsubasaReservoirChronicle''. One extra-chapter {{omake}} has the cast eating sushi, and Fai is ''completely repulsed'' by the idea of eating raw fish. Even though it never comes up again, {{Fandom}} has latched onto this and it's become the basis for quite a few [[YaoiGuys Kurogane x Fai]] {{fanfiction}}.

* Subverted in ''Anime/DarkerThanBlack'' with [[FanNickname Burger-kun]]. He has a remuneration of eating a hamburger after each use of his super speed. He may have liked them before, but now he is just sick of them.

* Yuki of ''Manga/GourmetGirlGraffiti'' sees pizza as her personal ComfortFood, and has eaten ''literally nothing'' but pizza for ''three whole weeks''. There's a reason why her FanNickname is "Pizza-chan."

* ''Franchise/LyricalNanoha's'' Vivio loves her caramel milk. It even gets a special mention in her [[http://nanoha.com/archive3/character/vivio.html character page]]. Also, Admiral Lindy and [[SpotOfTea green tea]]... [[FeeFiFauxPas with two lumps of sugar and milk]].

** Negi, being from the UK, is [[SpotOfTea quite fond of tea.]] When he and Fate were attempting to negotiate instead of directly fight, things flew into a bout of PassiveAggressiveKombat over how each of them take it.
