Updating after a while, but I haven't seen S2 E1 yet, only know that it's apparently cancelled... again.

[[note]]Troper note: I'm not sure how long it'll take for me to make this a page, mainly due to the uncertain grounds of canon story and ownership of ''TPC''. Although it was said that the comic continuation will be animated - hence this ''could'' be put in the WebAnimation namespace regardless of continuity - I'm hesitant to launch this because I'm unsure if formatting both continuities into one page like this is best or not. I want to trope both/all paths of the story - but I'm unsure how to best handle this clashing of "canon". Going by Administrivia/TheresNoSuchThingAsNotability, I consider either work worth troping, but I'm trying to be as neutral as possible to avoid arguments or possible drama importation. That being said, if another fan of this work finds this page and wishes to launch it (+ maybe has a better idea how to state matters neutrally regarding it), feel free to discuss/work on this and launch it yourself.[[/note]]

* NamedInTheAdaptation:
** The original game doesn't give official names to its characters. Here, the blue square protagonist is named Cyan, his larger companion is called Cube, and the BigBad, only known in the game files as "The Boss", is known as Dub instead, although he tells his subordinates to call him "Boss".
** The shapes that appear in multiplayer mode are also given names; the orange circle is Orange, the green pentagon is Tsavorite, and the yellow triangle is Gold. Even the [[AnimateInanimateObject living boat and helicopter]] are called Ketches and Heli respectively.
** Lycanthropy is inspired off the opponent of the level with the song of that name, [[{{Fanon}} often considered by fans to be the character's name]] (likewise can only be implied for [[PosthumousCharacter Baraccuda]]). This series gives his non-corrupted form the name Lythorus.
* NextTierPowerup: Heroes have an upgraded form that they mature into with the use of pieces from the Tree of Life. Cyan unlocks his too quickly by crashing into the tree in episode 2. In episode 6, Pentellow uses the piece given by the Chipzel group to age Tsavorite, which both heals and matures him. This form gives them more power [[PowerGlows and a stronger glow]].

* PosthumousCharacter: Baraccuda, Pyrare's son, died before the time of the series, but he created the virus while Dub continues their plan to take over Paradise in his steed after his death.

* PowerGlows:
** Most shapes appears to have a shape on their chest, typically a triangle, which glows when they use their powers. These chest shapes also act as storage for group members, and it glows when one stores back or brings out a piece from it.
** When a hero [[MindOverMatter uses their mind to move things]], the object being moved glows their respective color. Also, a hero's [[NextTierPowerup matured form]] tends to glow when summoned.

** Of the corrupts, Cubic has a pink mohawk while Cube doesn't have hair, unless he's being taken over by the former. Cintagon gets a tuft of pink hair when he's corrupted into Cintagram. Similarly, Hexagram gains shoulder-length hair as his corrupted form Hexadic, when he has no apparent hair under his helmet.

* TheQuietOne: Gold rarely speaks, and he appears grumpy when Pyrare even gets him to say hello. Pyrare initially had trouble communicating with Gold when he was appointed as his caretaker, making their task to seal Dub take longer, but Gold did warm up to Pyrare. In episode 10, Gold's sudden wordy analysis on the pink tree's condition takes some of the others aback.

* SelfAdaptation: ''Hope'' was to be an alternate series to ''Pink Corruption'' which was also made by Brittany Robinson.

Going by Administrivia/TheresNoSuchThingAsNotability, I consider either work worth troping, but in accordance to Administrivia/RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgement, I'm trying to be as neutral as possible to avoid arguments or possible drama importation. ''The Pink Corruption'' (or simply ''Pink Corruption'') is a fan-animated series of ''VideoGame/JustShapesAndBeats''. It is originally made and animated by Brittany Robinson (formerly known as Lucas The Dubber) and uploaded on her sister's channel, Breabear[=/=]Breeoni Jones, who she co-owned the series with.

Cyan is the newest hero made by the Tree of Life, and Cube is appointed as his new caretaker. However, their attempt to reseal the monster Dub goes awry, and he succeeds in setting [[TitleDrop the Pink Corruption]] loose on Paradise again before escaping. Cube and Cyan find assistance in other heroes (Orange, Tsavorite and Gold) and caretakers (Iris, Pentellow and Pyrare) on a quest to put an end to TheCorruption. A playlist of episodes can be found [[https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIGE9RmAQlvrdJrHt9NW14wzBNAD0pNOr here]].

In February 2020, ownership of the series was said to be given to [=QuadragonX=] [[note]](currently [=Itz-Friday=])[[/note]], in which she illustrates her continuation as the comic ''Pink Corruption Continued'' with plans of the continuation being animated. However, Brittany continues to animate new episodes unrelated to this comic continuation. ''PCC'' can be [[https://www.deviantart.com/itz-friday/gallery/73726423/pink-corruption-continued read here]] and the animated installments considered canon to ''PCC'' can be viewed in [[https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLc0WYugibJd8rCU1tOCTIFiH3N84wm3cO this playlist here]].

An alternate series made by Brittany titled ''Hope'' had a first episode posted in 2020 [[note]](but is seemingly discontinued after Brittany made more ''Pink Corruption'' episodes)[[/note]]. It features the same main characters of ''Pink Corruption'', as well as some new ones, in a mildly different setting and storyline. [[note]](The original upload of the first episodes is no longer unavailable, but [[https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwZLBiRLVEwMjOChti5T_gupCiUhYts3F this playlist]] of tributes to ''Hope'' also consists of the episode's footage.)[[/note]]

[[folder:Examples for ''The Pink Corruption'']]
* AffectionateNickname: Iris affectionately calls Pentellow "Lemon Pie", while she calls him "Grape Jam" in return.
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: The shape inhabitants of Paradise come in many different colors, such as blue, green, yellow, purple, orange and even beige.
* AndThatLittleGirlWasMe: In episode 9, [[spoiler:Cintagon tells the story of how Pentellow's father was told by the Tree Of Life to give his daughter away, before revealing said father to be himself.]]
* ArmCannon: Commander Circumsphere's primary weapon is his arm which operates as a cannon. His corrupted form, Circumcannon, brandishes his arm cannon more violently.
* BackFromTheDead: Cubic is essentially killed by the matured Cyan passing by Cube and purifying him. However, Dub uses Cubic's leftover data to revive Cubic for more evil tasks.
* BeamOWar: Near the end of episode 2, Cyan rapidly matures from being thrown into the Tree of Life just before he confronts Dub. Dub shoots a pink eye beam towards Cyan while the hero shoots a blue ray from his chest to counter it.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: The majority of characters have pupil-less black eyes, be they BlackBeadEyes or otherwise, but some instances have them develop colored irises to highlight a darker nature.
** Iris gets tiny light [[MeaningfulName irises]] on his wide black scleras when he uses his powers, and he may wield his sword and/or grin sinisterly while doing so.
** When infected by TheCorruption, Cube gets a MadEye which looks like a black gear with a pink or blue centre, and his corrupted form Cubic bears this eye more often, sometimes as both of his eyes.
* BlankWhiteEyes: By default, shapes have entirely black eyes, but when overcome by fear or shock, one's eyes become white circles with black outlines instead.
* BigBad: Dub, the pink monster who intends to corrupt every shape to be under his command.
* BloodKnight: Downplayed. Iris is the quickest to jump into action, sometimes appearing eager to fight with a wide smile as he swings his sword.
* ColorCodedSpeech: Downplayed. The subtitles for most shapes are white text in a dark blue text box, but for corrupts and other pink shapes, the text box is dark red with pink text. Sometimes when talking about another character, the text color of the other's name changes to that of who is being referred to.
-> ''"[[pink:IT'S LYCANTHROPY!]]'' [[pink:NOT]] ''[[blue:LYTHORUS]][[pink:!]]"''
* CoolSword: Iris can drag a purple sword out of his head. It appears to have rotating gears on it for design.
* CooldownHug: In episode 2, Heli flies Cube up to the rapidly matured Cyan to get him to calm down, as all that power at that rate would harm the young hero. Cube invites him into an embrace, and there Cyan calmly reverts to his normal form.
* TheCorruption: The titular Pink Corruption is a contagious virus which Dub means to spread to take control of the other shapes.
* CreateYourOwnHero: A half-intentional example. In episode 9, Dub enacts Project C - making a pink hero from corrupted pieces of the Tree of Life, who he names Cyanide. However, after her first outing with Cubic as her caretaker, the latter attacks Cube to reinfect him, and Cyan outcries to Cyanide that heroes are meant to fight Dub's corruption. Cyanide complies to ceasing connections with Dub and tags along with the other heroes instead.
* CreepyGood: Iris, one of the caretakers, can get [[BloodKnight rather eager in battle]] and seems [[DissonantSerenity creepily at ease]] if not apathetic at times. When he summons his sword, his face turns a darker shade of purple, his voice is deeper or distorted and his usually [[BlackEyesOfCrazy all-black eyes generate tiny pupils]]. He spookily introduces himself to Cyan, Cube and Lythorus as "your worst nightmare" before dismissing it as a joke and healing the latter.
* DaddyHadAGoodReasonForAbandoningYou: [[spoiler:Cintagon gave away his daughter, Pentellow, because the Tree of Life told him his daughter would successfully become the 2nd caretaker if he did so.]] He was devastated to part from his child, but he complied.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Iris can sport BlackEyesOfCrazy with a darkened face and an off-putting expression, and his chest triangle glows with a black centre instead of white like everyone else's. Nevertheless, he fights for the side of good.
* DeathByChildBirth: [[spoiler:Cintagon tells Pentellow that her]] mother died at childbirth.
* DetachmentCombat: Dub detaches his arm while imprisoned, and it tunnels its way out of the mountain and into the river to spread the corruption.
* DissonantSerenity: Iris initially seems apathetic, and even darkly smiling, when he approaches the infected Cube, before using his piece on him to heal him. His unnerving calmness suggests that he's done this many times before.
* DoubleWeapon:
** Pentellow can wield a staff that has a yellow pentagon on each end.
** Hexagram wields a bar-like weapon with a yellow square on each end. His corrupted form Hexadic wields two pink ones which look similar to the bar-like attacks in some levels of the original game.
* DualWielding: Hexadic wields two {{double weapon}}s which he throws around into [[TheWallsAreClosingIn the walls closing in]] during his boss battle.
* EnemyWithin: After Cube gets infected, he starts having visions of a corrupted form named Cubic. As long as he's infected, Cubic can briefly take over Cube at any given time to attack his allies.
* EnemyWithout: Cyan cures Cube of the corruption, erasing Cubic from him. However, Dub uses some leftover data of Cubic to revive him without his host, although he can't keep that form for long.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Dub is said to have been close to his friend Baraccuda, who made the virus while Dub configured how to spread it. After his death, Dub wishes to fulfil their evil plan for his sake.
* EvilIsAngular:
** When a shape is corrupted, the triangle on their chest turns into a pink octagram.
** Purpex's corrupted form, Hexacrigon, has hexagonal eyes, while Purpex's are the typical circular eyes. Her hexagonal adornments have triangles added in their designs when she's corrupted as well.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Several corrupts have more distorted and lower-pitched voices than their normal uncorrupted forms.
* EyeCam:
** Episode 3 starts from Cube's eyes as he wakes up, the vision being blurry at first before he blinks and finds himself in the forest.
** After the intro sequence, episode 6 starts from the perspective of an injured Cube, who blinks as he's carried back to the others, the different shots from his eyes showing the sequence of events.
* TheFaceOfTheSun: The yellow sun with cloud hands in the original game is often seen smiling, and here it even has spoken lines when it didn't in the game. The Sun greets and welcomes the inhabitants of Paradise and even gives announcements, such as the Tree of Life's anniversary (when a hero is made) or the weather.
* FacePalm: Cube puts his square hand to his face in disbelief after realising that he and Cyan didn't seal the monster properly.
* FailedASpotCheck: Cyan and Cube reseal the monster Dub, but they missed securing the area ''under'' the seal inside the cave floor. When Lythorus asks if they sealed there as well, they're disappointed to realise that they had not.
* FightingFromTheInside: Some shapes are visibly more active in fighting the Pink Corruption from taking over them.
** Caretakers like Cube have some resistance to the virus, which slows the corrupting process. However, Cube starts having to deal with [[EnemyWithin Cubic]] after being infected, and the latter states that Cube's bond with Cyan makes him stronger, much to Cube's distress.
** Episode 4 introduces Purpex, who gets infected by a corrupt flower in the woods. She looks feverishly pink before she turns, and in Tsavorite's fight against her, she flashes back to her normal blue color at one instance before turning pink again.
* FightingYourFriend: Several of the heroes' fights against corrupts look like boss battles from the game, and most of those opponents are allies possessed by the Pink Corruption. Each one ends happily with the heroes purifying the opponent of TheCorruption, returning them to normal.
* FiveSecondForeshadowing: Lythorus tells Cube and Cyan of the imminent effects of the virus: excessive sweating, turning pink and spreading it everywhere. Just behind him is another flower going through this exact process as he explains. They then find a group of corrupted pink flowers right behind Lythorus and run away.
* FloatingLimbs: While shapes can assume a form with a humanoid body, only the ones who wear sleeves appear to have arms. Hands are otherwise just smaller squares or circles that float nearby.
* HairReboot: Dub regenerates his hair right after Iris slices it with his sword.
* HornsOfVillainy: Hexadic, the corrupted form of Hexagram, has horns on his helmet akin to that of a Viking, while Hexagram's helmet has no horns.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: In episode 9, Cubic's drill strikes [[spoiler:Cube]] through the abdomen. He survives, but [[spoiler:it allows Cubic to re-enter Cube's body to reinfect him]].
* InTheHood: When Ajaceare has her hood up, her single eye is concealed unless she's using her powers.
* LegacyOfTheChosen: Each year, the Tree of Life makes a new hero and chooses a new caretaker to accompany and fight alongside the hero to keep the Pink Corruption at bay, in hopes of vanquishing it once and for all.
* MalignantPlotTumor: In episode 7, Pentellow brings up that she never knew her biological family. Come episode 8 until 10, beating the corruption starts looking like a side plot, what with the title screen after the ThemeTune being "The Family Search" for those episodes. [[spoiler:Once that's resolved, Pentellow's family look to be joining the main cast in the fight against the corruption.]]
* MeaningfulBackgroundEvent: As Lythorus explains the effects of the virus to Cyan and Cube, behind him is a flower [[FiveSecondForeshadowing going through the same effects]] and corrupting others. Cyan and Cube's terrified expressions say it all.
* MomentKiller: In episode 7, Pentellow and Iris share a kiss. Cube says "Aww" as he spectates them from the above bunk, interrupting the couple's bonding moment.
* MyGreatestSecondChance: Pyrare says that being Gold's caretaker felt like a miracle, as if he had been given a second chance. Pyrare's own son, Barracuda, being the one who engineered the Pink Corruption in the first place is likely a source of regret for Pyrare.
* NightmareFace: Downplayed for Iris. He can make half of his face or all of it turn a darker shade of purple, which gives him BlackEyesOfCrazy as he grins maniacally.
* NonMaliciousMonster: Pyrare is a caretaker who happens to be a big pyramid monster, which takes Cube and Cyan aback at first. Others have been frozen with fear at his appearance, but he explains that not all monsters are evil.
* OddNameOut: Zigzagged. Compared to the other heroes' colored names like Cyan, Orange and Gold, the name of a green gemstone Tsavorite sticks out most. However, later episodes call him Green.
* OpticBeams: Dub can shoot pink lasers from his eye(s).
* PsychoPink: Similarly to the original game, anything pink is likely afflicted by TheCorruption and associated with evil. [[TokenGoodTeammate Cyanide]] however may be an exception.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: Iris is aloof and pragmatic while Pentellow, his girlfriend, is more outgoing and optimistic.
* SealedEvilInACan: Dub is imprisoned in a mountain cave with a special seal powered by the most recently picked hero of that year. [[FailedASpotCheck Don't forget to seal the ground below him too though...]]
* ShovelStrike: Quintagon whacks away corrupts with a shovel as yellow as her.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Dub dons a jagged scarf and cloak, pointy shoulder pieces and spiky hair. His arms consist of spiked rotating circles and his default mouth has triangles for teeth. His upgraded form flares out the points even more.
* SpontaneousWeaponCreation: Every hero, caretaker and even any shape that can fight tend to have their own weapon that they can summon at any time.
** Iris can pull his CoolSword out from the side of his head, and it disappears right back in when he puts it away.
** Iris refreshes Cube on fighting, namely the latter's controllable weapon, unlike Iris' which is holdable. Cube can produce two claw-like arms from behind him, alike to the original game's "Close To Me" level, to fight with, as well as sawblades or gears akin to those in the game's factory levels.
* SuddenlyVoiced: Played with. All characters speak in electronic sound effects, but in episode 8's musical number, Pentellow and Purpex sing with intelligible vocals, although they are synthesised.
* TakingTheBullet: Cintagon jumps in front of Pentellow to block Circumcannon's attack, getting himself hit instead, which corrupts him into Cintagram.
* {{Teleportation}}: Iris can teleport, disappearing in a flash of light to reappear elsewhere. He can even teleport someone with him by holding them while he does so.
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: Female shapes have eyelashes while males do not.
* ThatManIsDead: A corrupted Lythorus doesn't take kindly to Cube calling him Lythorus. He instead goes by Lycanthropy.
* TombstoneTeeth: Dub's smile consists of several narrow rectangles.
* UncannyFamilyResemblance: [[spoiler:Quintagon]] and her cousin-once-removed [[spoiler:Pentellow]], who are both [[spoiler:female yellow pentagons]], look a lot like each other, which Purpex and several others point out before it's revealed they're related.
* UseTheirOwnWeaponAgainstThem: A variant. If it isn't their usual beam of light, a hero can deal the final purifying blow on a corrupt by spontaneously making their own copy of the weapon the enemy used to fight the hero.
** Circumcannon, who mostly fights with cannons (even one which shoots [[HeadWeapon from his head]] in his boss battle), is defeated by Tsavorite blasting a cannon at him.
** Cintagram deploys square-trailed projectiles in his boss battle. The beam of light which Tsavorite purifies him with is trailed with squares.
** In episode 9, Tsavorite makes a DoubleWeapon similar to Hexadic's to strike him with and purify him.
* WalkOnWater: In Cube's DreamSequence where he confronts the infection in him made manifest as Cubic, they appear to be on platforms surrounded by blue water. When Cubic walks on the water, the liquid and surroundings turn pink, but when Cube escapes his clutches and walks on the water as well to challenge Cubic, they revert to blue.
* TheWallsAreClosingIn: Downplayed. In the 2nd half of Tsavorite's fight against Hexadic in episode 9, walls surround Tsavorite and box him in with Hexadic. The walls slowly close in on them until Tsavorite defeats him.
* WaterSourceTampering: Implied. By drilling his detachable arm into the cave floor under him towards the outside, Dub infects the nearby river, turning it pink and quickly spreading the corruption.
* WeatherManipulation: In episode 2, the Sun greets everyone "Good morning" and announces that the weather would be foggy that day, before it proceeds to pull the fog over the sky with its cloud hands.
--> '''Heli''': ''(*sigh*)''...Great. When I actually needed to see.
* YellowPurpleContrast: Pentellow and Iris, a yellow pentagon and purple circle respectively. The former is more cheerful and friendly while the latter is less emotional and sometimes CreepyGood.
* WhamLine: The AndThatGirlWasMe story told by [[spoiler:Cintagon ends with him saying that he was devastated to leave Pentellow as a child, but now he could finally tell her why he did it.]]
--> '''[[spoiler:Cintagon]]''': He was devastated, he thought he could never see her again... until now, [[spoiler:I can finally tell you why I had to give you away.]]
* WhamShot: Shortly after the WhamLine, in the flashback of the story being told to [[spoiler:Pentellow of how her father was told to give her away, Cintagon can be seen crying with a baby Pentellow sleeping in his arms.]]

''The Pink Corruption'' episodes up until the [[https://youtu.be/I9lc2Yuuqr4 beginning of episode 6]] are considered canon to this storyline, occuring prior to the events illustrated in ''Pink Corruption Continued'', according to [=QuadragonX=]. Hence, all tropes for ''The Pink Corruption'' prior to then also apply here.
----
* AdaptationNameChange: Orange is renamed as Citren.
* CallBack: On page 4, Challenge tries lifting Cube to slow down his fall but exclaims that he "weighs like 200 pounds." Lythorus said the same thing about Cube in episode 2.
* ColorCodedSpeech: Played straight, unlike the prior animated installments. Iris' words are purple, Citren's text is orange, Cube, Challenge and Teroblast's speech are different shades of blue, etc. Referring to other characters still results in that text being that character's color, and words said in unison have each speaker's color occupy some of the phrase's words.
* CrossPoppingVeins: A red cross representing a vein appears on Challenge's head when Teroblast reminds the former of Challenge's deceased brother. Then he angrily grabs Teroblast for bringing it up.
* CuteLittleFangs: Downplayed. Teroblast has a light blue fang which peeks out of his mouth, which looks rather endearing combined with his PeekABangs. However, he's rather sketchy at best and he has a short fuse.
* DarkIsEvil: The white square on Squadil's top hat turns black after he gets corrupted.
* DefiantToTheEnd: Squadril gets captured by corrupted flowers and brought to Dub, and the former makes it clear that he'll never surrender to him. Too bad that Dub corrupts him into Hedrilateral anyway.
* DoomedHometown: Played with. After Challenge saves the caretakers, he's shocked to find Poly Town in flames, devastated at how such a thing could have happened. However, Challenge's motivation to fight is implied to be something more personal against Dub; for taking Challenge's brother away from him.
* ExoticEyeColors: Unlike most BlackBeadEyes shapes who lack pupils, Challenge's eye has a colored narrow triangle for a pupil (which may dilate when he's emotional), while Teroblast's visible eye constantly has an equilateral triangle with a blue inner-outline as an iris.
* FallingIntoThePlot: The first comic page continues from the animated Episode 6 preview, where Cube, Iris and Cintagon are dragged by a flying Cyan until Cube loses his grip on Cyan, causing the 3 of them to fall. Iris thinks that they are about to die until Challenge rescues them.
* {{Flight}}:
** Challenge flies to the falling caretakers to rescue them with Citren's help.
** A new corrupt shape named Stibnite has visible bat wings that he flies with.
* GracefulLandingClumsyLanding: Once they've rescued them from falling, Challenge gently lets Cube down, and it appears that Citren helped Iris land safely too. Unfortunately for Cintagon, he falls face-first onto a tree branch.
* HeroicSacrifice: Challenge puts himself between the caretakers and the attacking Lycanthropy, and his prism gets corrupted in the process. He says that pyramids like him are resistant to it, and that he had been careful for too long, before telling the others to run as he gradually turns pink.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Implied. When Teroblast meets his old friend Challenge, the former casually says how he hasn't seen him since the latter's brother died, and Challenge angrily tells him to shut up. Telling him how he was close to his brother before Dub happened reduces Challenge to tears, and Teroblast seems sorry for bringing it up.
* InterruptedDeclarationOfLove: On page 23, Teroblast is forced to watch Challenge become corrupted. Challenge's last words are "I... l lov-" before he screeches in agony as the corruption takes over him.
* PeekABangs: Teroblast's hair conceals his left eye, which is already covered by an eyepatch.
* ShapeShifting: Per advice from Hedrilatetal to disguise himself as a normal shape to infect others, Dub transforms to have the appearance of a grey flower.
* AWolfInSheepsClothing. Dub takes the form of an innocent flower with the intent of corrupting shapes more easily.

* Cliffhanger: Cube and Cyan are surrounded by corrupted flowers, and before they can get to the Tree of Life in time, it has turned completely pink, and the pink monster emerges from behind the tree right before the episode stops.
* LosingYourHead: A corrupted flower socks Cube so hard that his head flies faster than his body. Cube's body fades away while his head lands with his [[FloatingLimbs floating square hands]], and he takes back Cyan from the attackers.
* MadEye: Downplayed. When Cube is startled, his right eye becomes wider than the other and with a pink centre. Cube getting attacked by the pink monster years ago may be the reason behind the pink eye.
* MoodWhiplash: The text turns red as a serious Pyrahedron tells Cube that the latter has until the next day before the pink monster releases the virus, with the camera zooming in on Pyrahedron and a vignette closing in. Then it zooms out and brightens up once Pyrahedron smiles and waves, saying "See ya there!"
* NiceHat: Cube wears a stylish azure hat which droops over one side of his head.
* PowerGlows: Cube glows when he summons his claw holders.
* ReachingBetweenTheLines: Pyrahedron, who's video-calling Cube through Cyan, extends his arm to push Cube's face as he tells him that Cube will be the fourth caretaker of the Tree of Life and to hurry to the tree and be prepared to seal the pink monster.
* SplitScreenReaction: After bringing Cyan home, he surprises Cube and Cubical with a transmission. The brothers' surprised faces are displayed in corner panels with exclamation marks.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Pyrahedron is the one-eyed triangular caretaker of the hero Gold, just like Pyrare (who is absent here) was in the original series, although Pyrare is blue and Pyrahedron is red. Furthermore, after ''Pink Corruption'' was recontinued, the name Pyrahedron is instead given to a hexagon character in that series' later episodes.
* WouldntHurtAChild: Even though the young corrupt flowers ambush Cube on his way to the Tree of Life, he says that he refuses to fight children, corrupted or not.

Some regard Quadragon's ''Pink Corruption Continued'' as canon and the animated episodes after episode 6 as non-canon, but Brittany's new episodes still have their followers.
