Magica De Spell (still a LivingShadow, albeit an increasingly powerful one) begins to put her plan against Scrooge into action when she orders Lena to smuggle a mystic amulet into the Money Bin that unleashes havoc when it comes into contact with Scrooge's billions. The result is a literal money shark who plagues the Money Bin, and later on, all of Duckburg — which doesn't help Scrooge's popularity.
