* ''{{Juggalo}}s''. Sure, there are plenty of fan communities in the world that might consider fellow members to be family, but the Juggalo community is one of the few groups that has taken that attitude and made it '''''the''''' cornerstone of the lifestyle. In your typical Juggalo gathering, the only real rules are "Everyone is welcome" and "All Juggalos are to be treated like family". And even though most members of the community are known for [[HardDrinkingPartyGirl being a bit on the hedonistic side]], not even [[TheTeetotaler abstaining from drugs and alcohol]] is enough to get one shunned. As most practicing Juggalos will happily tell you, excluding someone else for their lifestyle choices is about the most un-Juggalo thing that one can do.

* The members of the ''LetsPlay/HermitcraftServer'' may get into conflicts and wars very often, but at the end of the day, it's all in good fun and they're this. They support each other both in-game and during tough real-life situations, and have nothing but good to say of each other. Some have even described the other Hermits as family a fair few times.

* In TheMovie of ''Series/SesameStreet'' (you heard me), Big Bird is pulled away from the neighborhood to be adopted by "his own kind" (other birds). The {{Aesop}} at the end is that his family isn't those related to him but those close to him, on ''Sesame Street''... in other words, his true companions.

* The members of Music/TheTemptations were a close-knit bunch. When Paul Williams' drinking started getting out of control, they rallied around him to keep him away from alcohol and vigilantly raided and drained his stashes. Unfortunately, Williams always seemed to be able to sneak a drink past his friends and his behavior started affecting his on-stage performance. Instead of dropping him, the group found a workaround by hiring Richard Street to sing Williams' parts in the wings while Williams danced and lip-synched. Even when it became too much to bear and the members had no choice but to remove Williams from the lineup, they kept him on the books as a full member[[note]]Richard Street was brought on as a contractor and only became a formal member after it became clear Williams would never be able to return[[/note]] and duly paid him his cut of the profits to support him in the hopes he'd find help, get sober, and rejoin them. Unfortunately, Williams continued to spiral and eventually committed suicide.

It's true when they say that, on board the starship ''Enterprise'', no one is alone. Creator/WilWheaton in particular regards his TNG costars as his true family, due to having AbusiveParents [[StageMom who stole the money he'd made as a child actor]], whom he would sever his ties with them as an adult. He calls Creator/GatesMcFadden, who was his onscreen mother, [[AffectionateNickname "Space Mom"]].

* Creator/JamesMay, Creator/RichardHammond, and producer Andy Wilman all left the BBC in 2015 after Creator/JeremyClarkson was fired following his fracas with a female producer. May and Hammond were both offered huge contracts to stay on Series/TopGear but turned them down; Wilman chose to accompany them in their creation of Series/TheGrandTour.

* Music/{{Rush|Band}}, the progressive rock band from Canada, is very obviously a band of three best friends. Bassist/vocalist/keyboardist Geddy and guitarist Alex have known each other and been HeterosexualLifePartners since they were in middle school, and like with Music/GreenDay, the drummer and lyricist Neil was pretty quick to mesh with his bandmates after the first drummer, John Rutsey, left for health reasons (he was a diabetic). The three of them have been brothers to each other since 1975.

* The team at Website/ThatGuyWithTheGlasses/Channel Awesome -- They've had three anniversary crossovers where they all met up to provide something for the fans, numerous members of the team frequently have appearances in other's videos, and behind the scenes footage would ascertain that they've become friends away from the cameras. They also tend to move with lightning speed to defend each other should anyone be so foolish as to submit nasty/trollish remarks in comments on the site, on Twitter, or anywhere else on the internet. This is how WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic descibes their InUniverse reviewers as well, jerks who band together because they're like the WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes -- jerks to everybody else, but damn if someone else will ever take one of theirs down.

* Yellow Guy, Duck Guy, and Red Guy of ''WebVideo/DontHugMeImScared'' fame appear to be this. Despite all the [[MindScrew crazy]], [[SurpriseCreepy horrifying]] situations they're [[OnceAnEpisode constantly put through]], they seem to enjoy each other's company and look out for each other. Because of this, in the fifth episode, Duck Guy and Yellow Guy realize that Red Guy's missing (despite the teachers attempting to distract them) [[spoiler: and Red Guy is attempting to contact his friends from wherever he ended up]].

This isn't just among each team, either -- they're true companions with each other, too, even though they're all technically enemies. They even have welcomed [[spoiler:Wash]] into their ranks, even after all he did to them. Also applies to the makers of ''Machinima/RedVsBlue'', Creator/RoosterTeeth.

* Simon and Lewis of the ''Machinima/YogscastMinecraftSeries''. Even more evident with Old/Knight_Peculiar.

* ''Drowtales'' has the Highland Raiders, a group of drow who journey to the surface together and usually form strong bonds as a result. The Fallen Legion also seem to have a similar dynamic.

* The ''Webcomic/CityofReality'' portrays a world where everyone everyone else's true companion, essentially creating a true utopia. Unfortunately, as a {{Deconstruction}} of utopias, it has since seen cracks in the structure; but, like genuine examples, the people seem determined to push forward together.
