Currently broadcasting at time of writing: ''Manga/MagiLabyrinthOfMagic'' ([[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment now with more magic]]), ''LightNovel/SwordArtOnline'', ''Anime/BattleSpiritsSwordEyes'', and ''[[Anime/IxionSagaDT Ixion Saga: Dimension Transfer]]''. Translation gives you even ''more'', like "[[VisualNovel/HiiroNoKakera Scarlet Fragment]]" and "[[Manga/ZetsuenNoTempest Isolated Tempest]]."

* Metafictional descriptors aiming to present the book as something more epic: Chronicle, Saga, Legend, Tale, Fable, Song, Ballad

That doesn't stop people from using them anyway, to try to let everyone know that, yes, this particular adventure is indeed Epic, and you'd better know it. [[TropesAreNotBad It doesn't mean that it's a bad story either]], just that the author couldn't think of a name.

These have a tendency to get tossed willy-nilly into CharacterNameAndTheNounPhrase or TheXOfY naming schemes. Also very often overlaps with TheLegendOfX, BalladOfX, and TheTitleSaga.

Incidentally, an easier way to come up with a title is "The Dark (Noun)". For instance: ''The Dark Cushion'', ''The Dark Burrito'', ''Franchise/TheDarkTower'', etc. Compare MadLibThrillerTitle and GoryDeadlyOverkillTitleOfFatalDeath.

* In ''Webcomic/ElGoonishShive'', we have arcs and storylines such as: ''Shade'', ''Interviewed By The Devil'', ''Into The Dungeon'', ''Shadows After Dark'', ''Hidden Genesis'', ''In The Shadows'', ''The Trials Of Susan'', ''The Dark Clouds Gather'', ''Talon vs. Scythe'', ''Wrath of God'', ''T-Minus The Demon Ally'', ''T-Minus Dark Allegiance'', ''New And Old Flames'', ''[[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda Legends of Celida]]'', ''Death Sentence'', ''Duel Of The Discs'', ''End Of An Era'', ''Squirrel Prophet'', ''Final Battle'', ''Gathering Monsters'', ''Apocalypse'', and ''The Fate Of Magic''.

** "Hurricane Chronicles" is the ''literal'' translation of "Shippuuden". Well, "Legend" if you want to be more specific.
