--> Und er beginnt nun zu verstehn (And he's starting to understand)
Daß ihm das Weibes Loch das Grabloch war. (That to him, a woman's hole has been his grave)
Und er mag wüten gegen sich und toben — (And he can resist and rage against himself)
Doch bevor es Nacht wird, liegt er wieder droben. (But before night falls, he's lying right on top again.)

** Don't forget Kakashi, who goes nuts for Jiraya's "Make-out" erotic book series. Naruto takes advantage of this in Shippuden by trying to spoil the latest installment. Kakashi blocks his ears, but can read Naruto's lips with his Sharingan eye, so closes his eyes, too, and thereby Naruto and Sakura succeed in their test.

A DoubleStandard, since very rarely do women behave or even think this way. Made even more {{egregious}} when you consider MostWritersAreMale. You'd think they would be able to paint their own gender in a more positive light. It could be based on something like "male guilt" (analogous to white guilt), with the writers believing (or at least paying lip service to) the militant-feminist assertion that men are bestial, slovenly brutes.

A DoubleStandard, since very rarely do women behave or even think this way, and when they do it's treated as something very odd. Also, it takes much less for characters to actually draw attention to the fact. Made even more {{egregious}} when you consider MostWritersAreMale. You'd think they would be able to paint their own gender in a more positive light. It's possible they might be trying to pass this off as acceptable behavior, stating it's only natural and it's part of being a man. Note that men who do ''not'' do this are frequently criticized for being gay or unrealistic, so there may also be a bit of an attempt by the writer to [[HaveIMentionedIAmHeterosexualToday reassure the audience that they and their characters are perfectly heterosexual]]. Alternatively, it could be based on something like "male guilt" (analogous to white guilt), with the writers believing (or at least paying lip service to) the StrawFeminist assertion that men are bestial, slovenly brutes.

*In a social experiment, a man was told to ask women if they would 'sleep' with him and a woman the same to men. 100% of women said no, but 75% of men said yes, but the conclusion was not that men are perverts, but that women are sexually repressed.
** I don't know about you but I'm iffy on those studies. In a psychology book I read, it said that most women thought about sex around an average once a week. As a woman, I'm lucky to make it 5 hours without it cropping up at least once. There were also a large number saying they only thought about sex once a month or more.
*** Any decent psychology textbook will state that most women, as well as some men, are rarely honest about their sexual feelings and that few if any studies regarding female sexuality will often have inaccurate statistics. One such study said that 90% of American men and 60% of American women have masturbated, or, as this troper's friend put it, "ten percent of men and forty percent of women are liars." (Or, as the Dead Alewives put it in their "Captain Jerk" sketch, "Wow. Why is women's number so much lower?" "No one's quite sure, but think about it: do you ''really'' think they need to take so many long baths?")
****But as the anecdote above shows, research beats people just projecting onto everyone from their own experiences though. You can theorize, as your friend apparently did: 'I have done it, my friends who I have talked about with it have done it, therefore everyone must have', or you can try to gather empirical data. For instance, according to another survey: "[[http://www.gnxp.com/blog/2007/04/intercourse-and-intelligence.php while 95% of US men and 70% of women masturbate, this number is only 68% of men and 20% of women at MIT!]]" Do you really think the young college men and women who attend MIT are more ashamed of this than the US population at large (keep in mind, as the article points out, that more intelligent people are ''less'' likely to say premarital sex is immoral) or do you think that it is possible that not everyone feels the need for the same experiences in this area as your friend. (Hint: the article points out that intelligent people had less sex after marrying than less intelligent married couples.)
*** Another thing any decent psychology textbook/study/etc. will tell you is that anything that purports to measure how many times someone thinks about sex in a given time period is completely off the mark and/or fallacious. So many complicating factors come in for gathering data on this alone. At most these "statistics" (can we put 5 quotation marks around a word?) merely reflect the social stereotypes according to which, well, AllMenArePerverts but women don't think about sex, ever.
**** [[http://www.snopes.com/science/stats/thinksex.asp Snopes to the rescue. Men, rejoice.]]
**** There have been some studies with electrodes in sensitive places showing that women's reported levels of arousal were vastly different from their measured levels of arousal. Whether this is because women aren't aware of their own arousal or choose not to acknowledge it because they've been constantly told that women don't think about sex is a lot harder to prove...
* Chat Roulette. [[NoJustNo Just... don't look it up.]]
* It's really disturbing when you find a group of other 12-year-olds. %shudder%.
** [[FlatWhat ''Other'' 12-year-olds?]]
** ... I have nothing to say to that...
