* Cindy from ''VideoGame/{{Kindergarten}}'' is a self-centered, bossy little brat who treats her boyfriends (whom she goes through like tissues) like servants and enjoys bullying other girls. In fact, the very first time the player talks to her, she offers to be the protagonist's girlfriend in exchange for him [[GumInHair putting gum in the hair of]] ShrinkingViolet Lily.

* ''Franchise/AceAttorney'':
** [[UpperClassTwit Richard Wellington]] is a condescending jerk towards damn near everyone in the courtroom, and that's before [[spoiler:he's revealed to be a con artist and a murderer]].
** In ''Trials and Tribulations'', Phoenix discovers that someone is impersonating him. When he confronts the guy, not only is he a total jerkass, he's a downright bully who would rather kick everyone's ass for even looking at him funny. When a girl named Viola Cadaverini shows up, though, he goes from tiger to kitten, and for good reason: [[spoiler:Several months before, he got into a traffic accident with Viola, whose granddad is a mob boss, and he was forced to pay $1 million for the surgery on poor Viola. Even jerkasses know better than to piss off a mob boss.]] Out of earshot, however, he outright insults Viola. Considering this happens right after the girl's tearful confession about the whole matter, this comes off as [[KickTheDog seriously nasty]]. All that aside, there's also the fact that he's [[spoiler:the murderer in that case. As if it wasn't obvious.]]
** Then there is Godot from the third game, who, instead of using a whip like Franziska, throws cups of coffee at Phoenix. Also his behaviour in the final case. [[spoiler:When he gets wind of a plot to kill Maya, he puts her in danger so that he can save her himself, kills Maya's mother, and tries to pin the blame on Iris.]]
** Also, Zak Gramarye. Perhaps worst of all, he [[spoiler:disappears, abandoning his own daughter and leaving Phoenix to be disbarred. And then he comes back 7 years later with (for no explained reason) a plot to frame Phoenix (who now earns a living as an attraction at a restaurant with his reputation as an unbeatable poker player) for cheating at poker, destroying his reputation and livelihood, and, let's not forget, ''his only means of supporting Zak's own daughter'', whom Phoenix adopted after Zak ran off.]]
** Daryan Crescend is extremely temperamental, casually insults people and comes up with derogatory nicknames. One of his sprite animations is pointing and laughing. He gets even worse when [[spoiler:Lamiroir accuses him of murder, and Apollo has him brought to the stand, having figured out that Daryan is the murderer.]]

* Shun and Soma, the two most prominent bad guys in ''VisualNovel/AseliaTheEternalTheSpiritOfEternitySword'', are complete dicks to everyone. Shun is even a dick before he becomes a bad guy. [[spoiler:The actual BigBad and her [[TheDragon Dragon]] are CuteAndPsycho {{Worthy Opponent}}s who are at least polite about trying to destroy the planet.]]

* ''Franchise/{{Danganronpa}}'':
** Monokuma, full stop. He presides over a "killing game" in which only the person who commits murder and avoids being caught can escape, at which point everyone else gets executed. When the culprits are inevitably caught, Monokuma sentences them to [[CruelAndUnusualDeath being executed in a very painful manner]] and laughs about their reasons for committing the murder, ignoring his own responsibility. In [[VisualNovel/Danganronpa2GoodbyeDespair the sequel]], he also makes a habit of abusing his "little sister" Monomi [[spoiler:and casually has her executed along with the "traitor" from the Future Foundation as an afterthought]].
** ''VisualNovel/DanganronpaTriggerHappyHavoc'':
*** Byakuya Togami, the Ultimate Affluent Progeny. In addition to [[InsufferableGenius treating his classmates with contempt for being less talented than he is]], he initially treats the killings as a game and even openly contemplates trying to kill someone and graduate. [[spoiler:He also knows who the second murderer is, but withholds that knowledge and rearranges the crime scene in order to see who would be most likely to catch him. He gets a good dose of BreakTheHaughty thrown his way during chapters four and five, which leads to some CharacterDevelopment, and by the end of ''VisualNovel/Danganronpa2GoodbyeDespair,'' it's clear that, although he still puts on airs and thinks he's all that, he TookALevelInKindness.]]
*** Celestia Ludenberg, the Ultimate Gambler, is almost as callous as Byakuya, and even coldly suggests the second victim was to blame for not following her "night time" rule. [[spoiler:She also manipulates another student into killing someone, and then [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness kills her accomplice]] to commit the murder required to graduate.]]
*** Toko Fukawa manages to be a ShrinkingViolet and TheBully at the same time, while she does have a DarkAndTroubledPast she's still extremely abrasive and rude to everyone around her to the point of slut shaming and holding up trials so she can make weird comments.
** ''VisualNovel/Danganronpa2GoodbyeDespair'':
*** Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu, the Ultimate Yakuza, who refuses to associate with the group, and contemptuously describes cooperation and friendship as having no place in a killing game and spending most of his time threatening anyone who even breathes wrong in front of him. [[spoiler:While he's responsible for the brutal murder of Mahiru Koizumi, he doesn't kill anyone himself although he came extremely close with Mahiru, and after losing his childhood friend Peko, and then losing an eye while trying to save her as well as realising he indirectly took [[NiceGirl Mahiru's]] life and ruined Hiyoko's, he develops into a JerkWithAHeartOfGold who's still short-tempered and abrasive, but is willing to help and even sacrifice himself for the others.]]
*** Hiyoko Saionji, the Ultimate Traditional Dancer, who's first introduced crushing ants for fun and mercilessly bullies some of her classmates. [[spoiler:She gets a little better after losing her best friend, but then gets killed by one of the people she bullied, albeit [[HeKnowsTooMuch for reasons unrelated to]] the bullying and in a very undeserved way.]] Ultimately she is a JerkassWithAHeartOfGold who can be friendly and genuinely passionate about her talent.
*** While not as apparent as the other two, due to seeming like a relatively nice guy, by the end of the first trial, [[spoiler:Nagito Komaeda]] becomes this. First, it's revealed he willingly tried to kill someone (or be killed himself) by starting a blackout and hiding a knife under a table for little more reason than "he wanted everyone to shine as beacons of Hope in pure despair". When confronted by the would-be killer, he claims he will cooperate with them, despite them trying to murder him instead. Then, there's his trolling nature of constantly accusing Hajime of being the culprit, casually claiming he's [[spoiler:the Future Foundation "traitor" in Chapter 4]], and yes, people actually believe him. He also berates Hajime (and later Komaru) for [[spoiler:being reserve course students, which in his eyes means they have no talent, then proceeds to commit a murder-suicide of himself just to expose the Future Foundation "traitor" despite the fact that said traitor was GoodAllAlong.[[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking And like Kokichi below and Byakuya above, he loves to lie.]]]]
** ''VisualNovel/DanganronpaV3KillingHarmony'':
*** Kokichi Oma, who frequently lies to and plays mind games with others, seemingly for his own amusement, and can be quite insulting with others. In the fourth chapter, [[spoiler:he manipulates Gonta into killing [[AssholeVictim Miu]], browbeats the amnesiac Gonta in an attempt to get him to confess, then mocks Gonta after he's executed]]. In the end, it's suggested that [[spoiler:Kokichi hated the killing game and wanted to bring it to an end]], but that [[AssholeVictim doesn't fully justify or excuse his unpleasant behavior]].
*** Miu Iruma is a ThinSkinnedBully who takes pleasure in making everyone around her feel uncomfortable with her insults, sexual comments, and egotistical boasts. While it is down to a lack of social skills and she does have a HiddenHeartOfGold as she can be genuinely nice at times, that doesn't make her any less unpleasant to be around or her behaviour any more acceptable. Eventually [[spoiler:she tries to betray the class she spent four chapters tormenting only to be outsmarted and killed by Kokichi (who she tried to murder) and Gonta(who she previously insulted using some ableist terms), albeit for a selfless reason as she wanted to escape so her inventions could save the world)]].

* ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'':
** Shinji Matou is a thoroughly unlikeable little weasel who treats others like dirt and acts as though the world is solely there for his own convenience. And this is ''before'' you find out what an utter, irredeemable bastard he really is. [[spoiler:It is revealed at various points of the game, particularly in the Heaven's Feel path, that Shinji frequently ''raped'' his adoptive sister Sakura, used a Command Seal in order to do the same thing to Rider, and is heavily insinuated to have also raped Mitsuzuri before having Rider drain her energy.]] The guy is a demented sicko, well beyond the levels of your common {{Jerkass}}.
** Gilgamesh is just as selfish and amoral, but unlike Shinji, he actually has the power to back it up.

* Judge Grams of ''VisualNovel/FleuretBlanc'', also a [[GrumpyOldMan Grumpy Old Woman]]. She constantly insults everyone around her and has a massively overinflated ego. She also seems to ''relish'' the fact that she's a LethalChef; either she does it on purpose just to watch the FOIL members squirm, or she legitimately thinks her cooking is excellent and that anyone who objects needs to be put in their place. For bonus PoliticallyIncorrectVillain points, she particularly delights in torturing Roland over his vegetarianism.

* ''VisualNovel/HeartOfTheWoods'': Evelyn Fischer, the [[MayorPain mayor]] of Eysenfeld, is a cold and unpleasant person who acts in a condescending and intimidating manner toward Tara and Madison, two outsiders who investigate Eysenfeld, and [[AbusiveParents even treats her own daughter the same way]]. [[spoiler:She turns out to be ''much'' worse over the course of the game, as she's an ancient fairy who has [[BodySurf stolen several people's bodies]](resulting in the death of the host's soul, with Abigail being the only exception) and is intending to do so to Morgan. She's also responsible for Madison's death in a snowstorm by using illusion magic to trick her into thinking that Tara was in danger, endangers the entire forest by destroying the ancestral tree, and tries to kill Morgan and the resurrected Madison when they show up to stop her from taking Tara's body.]]

* ''VisualNovel/HighwayBlossoms'': Mariah Pastorius is the leader of "The Trio", a motley crew consisting of herself, her much younger sister Tess, and their mutual friend Joe. Mariah is short-tempered, rude, [[TheAlcoholic hard-drinking]], [[HeyYou refuses to call people by name]], and overall unpleasant to be around. Even at the end of the game, when she brings Amber out of her funk, she does so in a rather abrasive manner that shows her overall cynical worldview, so she doesn't quite shake off this status.

* A few characters in ''VisualNovel/KatawaShoujo'':
** [[spoiler:Shinichi Nomiya]] in Rin's route, who pushes Rin to work harder and put her art on display, even if she ends up missing classes, isolating herself, and engaging in self-destructive behavior as a result. [[spoiler:When she runs away from the exhibit, he gives her a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech while shouting at her.]]
** Shizune's father, Jigoro Hakamichi, from Shizune's route. He repeatedly insults Shizune's friends, her efforts on the student council, and the youth of today, and responds to being contradicted with anything from a "Shut up" to threats of violence. It also turns out that [[spoiler:he has been trying to get Shizune to speak for twelve years, and believes that she is only unable to talk because she chooses not to do so]].
** One nameless girl in Hanako's route comes out when Hisao is trying to bring schoolwork to Hanako in her room. If he asks her about Hanako, she will talk about her contemptuously before leaving, and if he decides not to, she will rudely walk off.

** Edwina revels in putting her rival and business competitor Amelia down and making sure the latter's mother's café goes out of business.
** A few days before he leaves for the baker's retreat, Joe tells Amelia that his twin brother moved into his house and played loud music in his bedroom, to his annoyance. [[spoiler:After Joe leaves, Sam [[TwinSwitch pretends to be him]] to seduce Amelia, and after he gets caught by the real Joe and leaves, Joe says that it's the worst that Sam had done so far. Sam then moves out of Joe's house the next day, not wanting to face him for what he did, but he occasionally drops by the café to continue harassing Amelia.]]

* In ''VideoGame/PillarsOfEternity'', there is very little to like about [[MadOracle Durance]]. Edér doesn't appreciate his virulent hatred of Eothasians, Hiravias isn't exactly happy with his racism against orlans (Durance will tell an orlan Watcher to their face that the orlans ''deserved'' to be conquered and enslaved), Aloth doesn't appreciate Durance shaming him for not being "manly" enough [[spoiler:nor does Iselmyr appreciate his AbhorrentAdmirer tendencies]], none of the women are keen on his misogyny and lechery, Grieving Mother will uncharacteristically make jokes at his expense, and even Kana, who otherwise has a good word for everybody, washes his hands of Durance. The only party member who gets along with him at all is Devil, a bronze golem serial killer, which says it all really.

* In the visual novel ''VisualNovel/{{Yandere}}'', which is ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin, the protagonist Subaru Oda is quite unpleasant. He acts like a complete pervert to his ChildhoodFriend, teacher, and underclassman and uses them for his own purposes. He's arguably a lot worse than [[VisualNovel/SchoolDays Makoto]] since Subaru starts off like a complete {{Jerkass}} and Makoto is an optional Jerkass. Some people think that he deserves the worst ending available.

* ''VideoGame/LiveALive'': [[spoiler:'''''STREIBOUGH!''''' He is an incredibly insane, spiteful, hateful and coldhearted EvilSorcerer who would so easily ruin his so-called 'best friend's' life all because he lost a tournament and could not handle that he was always going to be second fiddle. And when Oersted faces him in at the top of the Archon's Roost, he gleefully laughs at him for being so fearful for his safety that he left Hasshe's body to rot. Even after death, he still refuses to apologize for just about everything that he caused.]]

*** Suguru Kamoshida. [[TheWikiRule The Megami Tensei wiki]] puts it best: "He is a lustful, vain, cruel, and utterly selfish bully". He makes sexual advances on his female students, beats the members of his volleyball team until they're black and blue, ''[[spoiler:drives one student to attempt suicide]]'', and remorselessly abuses his authority and reputation to get away with it all. It's to the point where he sees all of Shujin Academy as his own personal castle and everyone in it as his slaves.

* ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'':
** Jin Kisaragi is, in Layman's terms, a dick. He tolerates people at best, and is scathingly condescending at worst. It's implied that he wasn't quite an ass before the Ikaruga War (during his Academy days he was [[AffablyEvil a reasonably decent guy, if usually callous and indifferent to normal peoples' suffering]]). But hearing his hated/beloved brother is alive evidently snaps even this fragile remnant of his sanity and pushes him into full-out [[AxCrazy mad]] [[{{Yandere}} psychosis]]. He does get a little better later on, but he still remains a colossal dick, especially to [[ShrinkingViolet Noel Vermillion]] (long story).

* ''VideoGame/AceCombat7'' has a couple of jerks supervising the Osean Air Force's 444th "Spare" Squadron, which is a fighter squadron made up entirely of convicts stationed out of an airbase that's doubles as a prison, and they fly suicide missions on a regular basis.

* At the beginning of ''VideoGame/{{Shivers}}'', the first thing you see is you being locked in a haunted museum by your friends. Never mind the fact that two kids went missing in there before and were never seen again, they just laugh and joke about it. Then they have the gall to go see a movie together while you fight for your life.

** Wario in the ''VideoGame/{{WarioWare}}'' games. He's a fat, lazy, ill-tempered slob who never pays his employees... and yet they keep working for him.

* Pigma in the ''VideoGame/StarFox'' games, particularly ''VideoGame/StarFox64'', with lines like "Daddy screamed reeeal good before he DIED!" He betrayed James and Peppy for money during their mission to Venom in the backstory of ''64'', and doesn't get along any better with Star Wolf; Wolf and Leon kick Pigma out of the group by the start of ''Assault.''

** Dave definitely qualifies. The quest line in the town of Overlook has you following the orders of a woman named Karima, who has you do things like get them medicine for the invariably fatal disease they are all suffering from and help the citizens make a shield for their town. Dave, meanwhile, takes the time to insult her and make sexist jokes at her expense every step of the way, all while Karima seemingly takes it in stride. Then she has you [[spoiler:drop an artillery shell on his house with him still inside it. Which sends the house over a cliff. And if you've been down to the area at the bottom of that cliff, you'll know that it's infested with vicious, man-eating Threshers.]] BewareTheNiceOnes indeed.

* Lord Yuna from ''VideoGame/BreathOfFireIV'' is one of the most subtle and potent examples of jerkery in a videogame. He's an adviser and thaumaturge in the employ of the Fou Empire, but is of course [[spoiler:behind the scenes the entire time, orchestrating pretty much every unpleasant event that occurs]]. It's revealed that [[spoiler:Princess Nina's disappeared sister had not only been captured and incarcerated by Yuna, but fused with parts from the panoply of magical creatures that inhabit his world and made into one of the Endless, an undying, immortal being usually worshiped as gods. There are several catches to this, of course. The bad news is that the poor girl is confined to her bed, as a pulsing umbilical connects her to the distorted, building-sized mass of organs that powers her immortality. The worse news is that Yuna intended to use her immortal body as a sort of perpetual sacrifice, ritualistically torturing her over and over in order to power a hex-firing supergun.]] The worst part? He's a pacifist, and hides behind his non-violence in order to avoid retribution. [[KarmaHoudini You never get the satisfaction of pounding his skinny ribs in.]]

*** Masayoshi Shido. He is jerkassery ''incarnate''. He causes the events of the game by stalking women and when he gets caught by the protagonist doing it, he gets the protagonist arrested on false charges. He then has [[spoiler:his own son, Goro Akechi,]] assassinate people in an attempt to demonize the Phantom Thieves and make them look like criminals instead of superheroes to the public. He then runs for prime minister of Japan for selfish gain. If that's not enough, he had Futaba's mother killed, forged a suicide note to demonize Futaba, driving her into a ''suicidal depression'', stole her mom's research, and later has [[spoiler:Haru's father]] killed just so he can frame the Phantom Thieves for their death. And for an added kick in the teeth, his Shadow Self admits he only sees [[spoiler:Akechi]] as a tool to be disposed of when YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness.

* ''VideoGame/EarthBound'':
** Porky ''freaking'' Minch. Let's elaborate: [[spoiler:After hearing Buzz-Buzz's prophecy and running off, he aligns himself with a cult leader and assists in the kidnapping of a young girl, steals an expensive helicopter away from the heroes and crashes it into a swamp, and finally assists in the final boss battle because he felt it was "the winning path" before he runs away to a different time period.]] And that's not even getting into [[spoiler:what happens later in ''VideoGame/MOTHER3'', where he [[PlayerPunch founds a warped dictatorship that takes over the protagonist Lucas's home country, kills his mother and twin brother, and reanimates his brother's corpse, who is forced to aid Porky in his world takeover, and ultimately, fight against Lucas at the end]].]] And, let's not forget about him brainwashing a corporate executive. And becoming [[spoiler:Giygas's ''direct assistant'']].
** On a lesser note, Fassad (or Yokuba [[spoiler:or Locria]], whichever you prefer). He proves his douchiness by regularly electrocuting Salsa (on top of stealing a Luxury Banana if you grab it during Chapter 3) on top of the slave labor, and when Lucas and company figure out the truth about the Thunder Tower, he gives the order to evacuate him and ''then'' blow it up. [[spoiler:And let's not forget that his leaking the truth of the world to Porky was half the reason things got to be as fucked up as they are. The fact that he is reassembled as a chimera simply cheats the player out of a karmic death (he slipped on a banana atop said tower) while doing jack to detract from the douchiness.]]

* 'Jerkass/FireEmblem''

** The fact that he's an utter asshole is probably one of Kratos's ''least bad'' qualities, but it bears pointing out. He throws a tantrum whenever things don't go his way, snarls and sneers his way through every conversation, and is self-centered, hypocritical, impatient, and petty. It's just that all this is combined with the power to wreck the world, so it seems much grander.

* There are quite a few in the ''Franchise/FireEmblem'' series:
** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'':
*** Gangrel, the king of Plegia and the main baddie of the first eleven chapters. [[spoiler:When Emmeryn commits suicide to prevent Chrom from giving Gangrel the Shield of Seals for her safety, he laughs gleefully at that and at Chrom and Lissa's sadness at this event (which is rather in poor taste).]] He is in fact considered to be the biggest jerk in the game.
*** Tharja, the Plegian Dark Mage who joins Chrom's army in Chapter 9, is rather rude and dismissive towards anyone who isn't the Avatar character. She also abuses her future daughter, Noire, by using her as an unwilling guinea pig for her hexes.

He even sends the Avatar on suicidal missions, hoping that they die, and even states that he'd kill his own blood children at one point. [[spoiler:Fake Garon or not, both Garons have the distinction of being jerks, but the fake is this far more than the real one had ever been, and the suicide mission is the fake's doing.]]

* ''VideoGame/DanganronpaAnotherEpisodeUltraDespairGirls'', Haiji Towa is an [[HateSink Absolute [[CompleteMonster Complete Monster]]. He's paedophilic, abusive, and is willing to mass-murder all children, includingthose who aren;t brainwashed. He even tires to kill Komaru and Toko when they're against that.

*** Miu Iruma is a ThinSkinnedBully who takes pleasure in making everyone around her feel uncomfortable with her insults, sexual comments, [[CompleteMonster demon from hell]]. She's a [[VillainWithGoodPublicity Villain With Good Publicity]] as she's the true host of [[ImmoralRealityShow Dangnaronpa]] having hosted 53 previous killing games, having no qualms with abusing, torturing, and giving the participants painful and horrific deaths for the sake of good television. In the end, [[TheDogBitesBack Shuichi]] really gave her and Monokuma what they deserve.

*** Miu Iruma is a ThinSkinnedBully who takes pleasure in making everyone around her feel uncomfortable with her insults, sexual comments, and egotistical boasts. While it is down to a lack of social skills and she does have a HiddenHeartOfGold as she can be genuinely nice at times, that doesn't make her any less unpleasant to be around or her behaviour any more acceptable. Eventually[[spoiler: she tries to betray the class she spent four chapters tormenting only to be outsmarted and killed by Kokichi(who she tried to murder) and Gonta(who she previously insulted using some ableist terms), albeit for a selfless reason as she wanted to escape so her inventions could save the world)]]
*** Tsumugi Shirogane is a nightmarish example. She [[spoiler:rewrote the participants' memories to make for better drama, and has no qualms with killing off many innocent people and torturing them just for the sake good publicity to satisfy a world of [[HumansAreTheRealMonsters monstrous killing-game loving humans]].]].

*** Toko Fukawa manages to be a ShrinkingViolet and TheBully at the same time, while she does have a DarkAndTroubledPast she's still extremely abrasive and rude to everyone around her to the point of slut shaming and holding up trials so she can make weird comments.

*** Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu, the Ultimate Yakuza, who refuses to associate with the group, and contemptuously describes cooperation and friendship as having no place in a killing game. [[spoiler:While he's responsible for the second murder happening, he doesn't kill anyone himself, and after losing his childhood friend Peko, and then losing an eye while trying to save her, he develops into a JerkWithAHeartOfGold who's still short-tempered and abrasive, but is willing to help and even sacrifice himself for the others.]]
*** Hiyoko Saionji, the Ultimate Traditional Dancer, who's first introduced crushing ants for fun and mercilessly bullies some of her classmates. [[spoiler:She gets a little better after losing her best friend, but then gets killed by one of the people she bullied, albeit [[HeKnowsTooMuch for reasons unrelated to]] the bullying.]]

** ''VisualNovel/DanganronpaV3KillingHarmony'': Kokichi Oma, who frequently lies to and plays mind games with others, seemingly for his own amusement, and can be quite insulting with others. In the fourth chapter, [[spoiler:he manipulates Gonta into killing Miu, browbeats the amnesiac Gonta in an attempt to get him to confess, then mocks Gonta after he's executed]]. In the end, it's suggested that [[spoiler:Kokichi hated the killing game and wanted to bring it to an end]], but that [[AssholeVictim doesn't fully justify or excuse his unpleasant behavior]].

** Jin Kisaragi is, in Layman's terms, a dick. He tolerates people at best, and is scathingly condescending at worst. It's implied that he wasn't quite an ass before the Ikaruga War (during his Academy days he was [[AffablyEvil a reasonably decent guy, if usually callous and indifferent to normal peoples' suffering]]). But hearing his hated/beloved brother is alive evidently snaps even this fragile remnant of his sanity and pushes him into full-out [[AxCrazy mad]] [[{{Yandere}} psychosis]]. He does get a little better later on, but he still remains a colossal dick, especially to Noel Vermillion (long story).
